Manages the Milford facility's operations and facilities maintenance department to safely maintain and continuously improve plant processes and the overall facility, to develop effective and sustainable maintenance teams and to ensure compliance to all applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Provide leadership, direction and oversight for the overall plant maintenance system. Develop maintenance plans to minimize reactive maintenance and increase the overall effectiveness of planned work. Ensure the most efficient and effective use of the site CMMS system, and drive related system improvements.
Provide Maintenance system oversight for efficiently dispatching technical resources in the facility, maintaining breakdown and repair history, and driving the preventive maintenance program. Provide analysis and drive engineering solutions to maximize availability and reliability.
Manage the design, installation and maintenance of all building additions and modifications and facility support systems. Oversee the installation and modification of new production systems and equipment. Provide recommendations for the design and improvement of new production machinery and processes.
Directly manage maintenance supervisors and engineers and indirectly manage a maintenance staff of up to 100 colleagues.
Manage the development and execution of staffing strategy to ensure maintenance can efficiently support future operation's needs.
Provide oversight for the facility's Energy management program which includes developing and executing procurement strategies, driving conservation, and tracking overall use.
Develop annual budgets for all maintenance areas, monitors maintenance spend, investigates financial variances and implements corrective actions.
Provide oversight of the MRO inventory and procurement process for the facility. Ensure that the process supports the needs of the value streams, complies with all internal and external requirements and meets all stocking and transactional accuracy needs.
Coordinates with Value Streams, Engineering staff, Quality Control and outside subcontractors to promote technological product and process improvements. Ensure work meets all applicable quality and regulatory standards.
Communicate crucial maintenance information to the organization so that appropriate production adjustments can be made. Interfaces directly with Value Streams to meet production needs and satisfy maintenance requirements.
Ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices for all activities under his/her direction. Provides a safe work environment for all EPC colleagues.
Administers within his/her area all applicable Corporate and Governmental policies and regulations pertaining to safety, environmental matters, Affirmative Action and EEO issues, and the disposal of hazardous wastes.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Drive Cost Improvements to maintain favorable cost of goods.
Responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the building, yards, facilities, plant systems to meet maintenance, housekeeping and functional and aesthetic requirements.
Responsible for managing plant shutdowns.
Represent the site as related to zoning, variances, building permits, and local emergency planning.
Review, maintain and approve plant layouts. Drive appropriate changes to plant layout to improve safety, overall efficiency and agility.
Provide 24 hour support as part of the Incident Command team.
Provides oversight for the facility's recycling and disposal programs. Ensures compliance to all associated federal, state and municipal requirements.
