Bachelor's degree in education, physics, chemistry, math, biology or related health science areas from an accredited university with a minimum of (2) two years of experience directly supervising customer service operations in a hospital or higher education environment. Must possess skills with the technology used in an academic environment. Must work collaboratively with multiple areas of the library to provide exceptional customer service. Exceptional punctuality and attendance are required.
This position is a management position in the Department of Medical Library Science at LSU Health Shreveport. The selected candidate will oversee operations of the library's main desk and open the library when the day supervisor is unavailable. The incumbent will work with library administration to optimize the experience of using the library for students, faculty and staff. Works closely with interlibrary loan. The incumbent must use tact and skill to enforce policies that preserve the interests of the university, while also meeting the diverse needs of students, faculty & staff.
