The Manager of Learning- Professional Development will support key L&D initiatives for the Merchant Pyramids through identification of Learning Plans, instructional design, workshop facilitation and administration. Primary accountabilities will include learning event planning and execution, communications with learners and key stakeholders, development of learning support materials and program marketing. They will work in close collaboration with L&D team members, HR Business Partners, Buying and Planning leadership to maximize reach and effectiveness of BLM Learning opportunities. This position reports into the OVP Learning and Development. Perform other duties as assigned.
Create a learning and development strategy, vision and action plan to close skill gaps contributing to the success of the organization
Partner with Subject Matter Experts to Design and implement training programs to drive employee performance both for new hires and ongoing talent development
Develop customized training content to support roles
Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce blended learning materials promoting learning through self-study, practice, performance support, socialization and knowledge-sharing
Develop assessments that measure learner outcomes including productivity.
Provide constructive, actionable feedback and coaching to business leadership to support ongoing development.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ownership or team participation in specific roll-outs, launches and programs. Blending partnership with Stakeholders to assess needs, creation of L&D strategy, development of curriculum, facilitation of Leadership workshops.
Ensure thorough communication and follow up, including coaching and feedback discussions with Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts and store leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Education or Business preferred. Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience.
Retail Learning & Development experience.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information clearly & concisely.
Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong team player, able to effectively develop & maintain collaborative partnerships with all levels within the company.
Strong understanding of retail business related to Buying and Planning.
Self-motivated & inspiring to others, with collaborative working style.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
