Lead the Lean Manufacturing transformation activities within the Region to ensure improvement in Driveline manufacturing cost and operational metrics.

Base Location

The location is flexible and would be based on the suitable candidates location.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Lean Manager (Lean Manufacturing Systems) are accountable for the success of the Lean Deployments trough Driveline, as measured by their Lean Maturity,

  • Responsible for Operational Excellence rollout across globally:

  • Collaboration with regional and functional teams to keep them in line with the strategy,

  • Creating Operational Excellence procedures drive from best practices,

  • Coach / train region, function and plant experts to these procedures,

  • Developing lean manufacturing systems,

  • Encourage functional teams to use correct management systems to drive CI culture

  • Coordination of plant lean support activities in effective and relevant way parallel with the strategy needs,

  • Implement and sustain Operation System Assessments,

  • Designing creating global & plant level value streams,

  • Supporting lean fundamentals deployment activities,

  • Coaches plants and functions to use correct PS Methodologies to improve problem solving culture,

  • Facilitate the BPE deployment activities along with the Functional Managers

  • Coordinate Continuous Improvement from Strategy Review to detailed Budget CIP via relevant tool.

  • Coordinates and ensure that regional & functional CI plan activities are in line with regional strategical vision declaration.

Formal Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering or technical discipline,
  • Formal training and certification of Lean concepts and tools.

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • 6 years of experience with 2 years in extensive manufacturing experience as Lean, Plant ME, CI or Project manager roles, preferably within an automotive environment,
  • Profound Knowledge of design and implementation of Lean Operating Systems (such as Toyota Production System, WCM or equivalent),
  • Fluent in English, with an international mind-set,
  • Experienced at working in an international matrix organisation,
  • Profound knowledge of the IT development and IT systems.
