The Manager

  • HR Technology Strategy and Research plays a critical role in our research for both HR solution providers and corporate leaders with responsibility for HR technology. Our research with providers involves extensive study of vendor solutions and marketplaces.

    We interview and meet with hundreds of solution providers each year, examining products closely, talking with clients, and providing an informed voice-of-the-customer perspective back to the vendor community to help them set their product and go-to-market strategy. This process is an essential part of our research methodology. It underpins our ability to help corporate members determine their technology strategy and understand what matters in vendor selection, implementation, and management. It also provides important depth to our overall perspectives on related workplace trends and HR solution innovation.

Responsibilities

Manager

  • HR Technology Strategy and Research will assist our HR Technology and Solution Provider Strategy Practice and plays an important role to our research related to HR vendors (content, services, and technology). This role will work with our AVP

  • HR Technology and Solution Provider Strategy across the three pillars of Bersin's overall approach to research:

  • Broad surveys and data analysis

  • Interviews and case studies

  • Detailed vendor and market analysis

Internally, this role acts as source of expertise and leading practice for working with and researching vendors. Externally, he or she will help drive Bersin's research agenda in the HR technology space for both Global 2000 companies and solution providers.

This role will publish and present extensively as well as work with members, prospective members, and consulting clients, answering questions and providing advice. He or she will continue to build and maintaining our ongoing vendor relationships.

This role will work with other members in our Insights team when it comes to HR Solution Provider insights. Occasionally, she or he will assist the consulting team as a subject matter expert on special projects. This role will work on complex market research studies.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, research, or related discipline

  • 6+ years of business experience with HRIS Solution Providers/Vendors or with a related analyst or research firm or consultancy

  • Strategic thinking and business skills, with ability to understand key business drivers that contribute to operational and financial success.

  • A desire and drive to be a become a recognized thought leader within the HRIS Solution Providers/Vendor industry and community.

  • An established network and positive brand.

  • Highly effective presentation development and delivery skills to internal and external audiences.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, virtual environment, providing and accepting continuous feedback and support.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
  • 10+ years of business experience in HRIS Solution Providers/Vendors or with a related analyst or research firm or consultancy.
