Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually.

Manages the technical activities and administrative functions of the laboratory department in collaboration with the Director of Laboratory Services. Plans and coordinates day-to-day work activities and manages personnel both onsite and off sites.

Manages employee timecards and approves time worked and time off using the Kronos timekeeping system. Ensures that clinical laboratory procedures and examinations and any other tests or procedures conducted by the clinical laboratory are performed pursuant to established and approved protocols of the department of health and other regulatory agencies, including maintaining equipment and records and performing quality assurance activities related to examination performance. Influences policies that achieve health equity, promote wellness, and protect against inequity for people of marginalized and underrepresented communities. Assures the department complies with the regulations of the State of New York Department of Health (NYSDOH), CAP, and Joint Commission

Education/Training: BS/BA degree with a major emphasis in medical technology required.

Must meet the qualifications of a supervisor as defined by New York State Department of Health Law. Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Experience: Six (6) years of experience as a licensed Medical Technologist including three (3) years supervisory experience with proven leadership skills required. Computer experience preferred.

Licensure, Registration or Certification: NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required, MT(ASCP) preferred,
