What is the IT Order Management and Procurement Team and why join?

The Order Management and Procurement Team lies at the heart of our supply chain, playing a critical role in building and supporting the systems that ensure the reliable and seamless creation and management of one million orders annually. Collaborating closely with our business stakeholders, we develop solutions that drive efficient and effective operations at scale. What will you be doing?

You will lead a team of 15+ talented analysts and developers with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, including employees and contractors located across the US, Costa Rica, and India. You will collaborate closely with IT leadership, architects, business teams, and vendors to ensure the effective delivery of technically excellent solutions to our customers. There is potential to manage other leaders within the supply chain domain in the future.

Responsibilities

• Promote World Wide Technology core values, corporate goals, and departmental initiatives.

• Manage a team of individual contributors, with potential future responsibility for managing leaders.

• Create and foster an atmosphere of mentoring, quality, diversity, and collaboration.

• Identify and act upon the staffing needs of the team.

• Guide the growth and development of team members in both technical and non-technical areas, supporting their job duties and future growth.

• Coach team members and peers on issues such as interpersonal conflicts, communication, and leadership development.

• Ensure consistency of strategy and execution across Order Management and Procurement and relevant supply chain teams.

• Ensure the delivery of fit-for-purpose, technically excellent solutions that adhere to quality and architecture standards.

• Advocate innovative approaches to solutions and application delivery.

• Proactively identify and resolve issues within your immediate and extended leadership team.

• Collaborate with product owners, internal and external customers, and other leaders to advance World Wide Technology's competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field

• 5+ years of demonstrated performance in a people leadership role

• Ability to lead other leaders

• Strong understanding of Supply Chain business processes and how technology can enhance and improve these processes

• Hands-on technical experience or the ability to relate to technical topics and participate in conversations about architecture and development

• Hands-on experience with Oracle applications preferred - functional or technical

• Preferred experience in custom web application development and standards

• Preferred experience with SaaS applications

• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Demonstrated ability to partner with peers in IT and business units to align development objectives with corporate goals and objectives

• Experience managing in an organization using Agile principles

• Goal and outcome-oriented with excellent work ethic, self-motivation, and demonstrable experience motivating others

• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
