KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, IT Security Monitoring and Response to join our Digital Business Transformation organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to assess vulnerabilities and to assign vulnerability mitigation scores where possible

  • Track and report all vulnerability mitigation efforts

  • Track and report on security threats, events, incidents, vulnerabilities and remediation

  • Provide hands-on support for VM tools and interface with KPMG technical teams, business groups, and internal/external auditors to answer questions and provide documentation and/or evidence

  • Scan the environment for known vulnerabilities; work with system owners to remediate; validate vulnerability scanning results and false positives; performing vulnerability assessments using vulnerability assessment tools

  • Support incident response process. Implement vulnerability management strategies in cloud, mobile, and virtual infrastructures

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of Security monitoring experience and incident response activities; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment, experience with IT process definition and / or improvement

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Experience leading IT Security Teams and Projects

  • Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • CISSP, Splunk, Cloud and Qualys Cloud Platform experience is preferred

  • US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities: * Help expand the usage of security monitoring tools to improve the security of the environment, including detection, prevention and policy enforcement * Serve as a subject matter professional for security monitoring and incident response related knowledge domain and tools * Drive automation and orchestration to improve efficiency and effectiveness of security monitoring and response processes * Maintain system documentation for security tools while performing system health checks; able to create test cases, scripts and lead the upgrade of security tools * Identify opportunities for efficiencies, as well as for improvements in security controls while leading the design and implementation of related improvements * Support all aspects of security tools, including architecture, engineering, operations, integration and advanced topics Qualifications: * Minimum of five years of security monitoring experience and incident response activities; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment, experience with IT process definition and/or improvement * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university * Experience providing engineering of on premises and cloud security monitoring implementations with familiarity of cloud computing concepts and top-tier cloud providers * Experience in architecture, design and administration of security monitoring tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies, and SIEM * Basic knowledge in shell/bash scripting and/or Python; Certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, MCSE, Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, AWS Certified Solutions Architect * US Citizenship is required KPMG LLP (the U.S. member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
