Job Description Summary:

To manage the design and development activities for a group. responsibility Includes systems and application analysis, programming, feasibility studies, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative Degree or related field. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects. Knowledge of software and engineering principles. Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills. Travel required.

This Manager position oversees the team responsible for project leadership, business and systems analysis and requirements gathering for the Settlement domain within Pricing and Revenue Systems Requirements, Analysis & Design (RAD).

  • Leads change to create innovative solutions responsive to high priority business needs

  • Coaches and builds high performance teams. Manages resources effectively including aligning resources to organizational goals and strategies, setting realistic timelines, and monitoring team progress

  • Manages teams leading multiple complex projects concurrently or large projects with multiple cross-functional work-streams

  • Demonstrates negotiation skills/techniques

  • Provides thought leadership across multiple concurrent complex projects and programs

  • Collaborates across organizations leading to successful completion of projects

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Considered a Plus

  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills

  • Superior communications skills, both written and oral

  • Extensive experience in Program/Project Management and Business and/or Software Requirements definition

  • Ability to manage several complex projects concurrently or large projects with multiple cross functional work streams

  • An in-depth understanding of business and ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understood business terms

  • Ability to demonstrate negotiation skills/techniques, provide thought leadership, balance work in a highly changing and stressful environment, make progress with limited information and minimal oversight and collaborate on large teams are key success factors for this position

  • Ability to thrive in a demanding environment requiring a high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, adaptability, communication, initiative and follow-through
