Essential Functions:

  • Manage Network architecture and services for global WAN, North American LAN, access points, and Cloud Computing architecture. Set standards and security practices in relation to the Network technologies collaborating with the EMEA and APAC teams.

  • Manage E-mail and messaging architecture and services for North America. Set standards and security practices in relation to the e-mail and messaging technologies collaborating with the EMEA and APAC teams.

  • Manage, develop, improve and organize implementation of telecommunications (data, voice and video), and support for delivery of these services for North America. Set standards and security practices in relation to the telecommunication technologies collaborating with the EMEA and APAC teams.

  • Establish technical architecture and service engineering solutions to support optimum solutions (in-house, outsourced and cloud based), considering governance, compliance rules, supportability and maintainability

  • Work closely with the IT Support teams.

  • Work with IT Governance to establish commercial relationships (contract negotiations)

  • Stay abreast of services developments in the market (technology and service provider watch)

  • Provide second line of support to 'Infrastructure Services' team

  • Provide second line of support to end-users of IT services

  • Ensure that all required training is identified for and completed by all direct reports.

  • Evaluate staffing needs and costs; identifies, hires and promotes individuals with the right skills and competencies necessary to achieve superior results.

  • Develop a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual's strengths to the benefit of the team.

  • Additional responsibilities as requested or required.

Required Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent degree required.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience of successful service design and implementation

  • Track record in designing and implementing production quality services. Quality Management Professional certification a plus

  • Strong service orientation (towards users, customers and partners). Familiarity with ITIL (service management) framework and processes a plus

  • Experience with; Security and identity management, Data, voice and video networking and services, Computing services (servers, storage), Market players in technology and service procisioning

  • Demonstrated Project management skills. Project Management Professional certification a plus

  • Process improvement and quality management

  • People management & change management

  • Ability to work effectively across regional environments

VIEW JOBS 10/27/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-25T00:00 Summary: The Information Security Director is accountable for the development, implementation and operation of a comprehensive, enterprise-wide cybersecurity risk management strategy and program. The IT Security Director performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first is overseeing the operations of the enterprise's security solutions through management of the organization's security analysts. The second is establishing an enterprise security stance through policy, architecture and training processes. The IT Security Director is expected to interface with peers in the IT department as well as with the leaders of the business units to both share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and cooperation. The Information Security Director will be responsible for setting security policies, standards and processes through a strong understanding of risk management and governance practices. Essential Functions: * Lead information security planning to establish a comprehensive Information security management program. * Create and maintain the enterprise's security architecture design * Develop and maintain enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures) and security awareness and training program. * Ensure compliance and governance is met for technology-based products, IT operations and infrastructure. * Promote adoption and maintenance of data privacy best practices * Conduct continual assessment of current IT security practices and systems and identifying areas for improvement * Perform IT security risk assessments and reporting * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks/threats; participate in NEOCC on behalf of the Company, as appropriate. * Deliver new security technology approaches and implement next generation solutions * Manage selection of appropriate security solutions and consult and advise on security requirements for new IT products and applications * Oversee the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise's security documents specifically. * Devise strategies and solutions to minimize the risk of cyber attacks * Identify, evaluate, and report on information security risks to senior management * Manage the information security budget and communicate with leadership as appropriate * Lead establishment of an industry-recognized security framework (such as NIST or ISO) * Ensure the enforcement of enterprise security documents. * Lead investigations into data security incidents and provide on-going communication with senior management. * Ensure all required training is identified for and completed by all direct reports * Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required. Required Experience Qualifications: * BS/BA degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Security or related field or equivalent experience * 10+ years of experience in technology and progression in security leadership responsibilities * Certification in one or more of the following: GIAC Security Essentials Certification, GIAC Security Leadership Certification, ISACA Certified Information Security Manager, (ISC)2 SCCP, (ISC)2 CISSP, (ISC)2 ISSAP * Extensive experience in enterprise security architecture design, security document creation, firewalls, and network administration protocols * Experience interpreting and applying industry frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001 and privacy requirements under GDPR and other applicable regulations * Experience with governance and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, ISO, NIST, GXP) * Experience managing the security requirements of public, private, and hybrid cloud environments * Excellent project management and effective leadership of multidisciplinary teams that successfully defined, developed, and delivered various information security solutions * Skill in developing information security policies and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs that meet the objectives in a dynamic environment * Strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies * Ability to adapt to a fast-moving IT landscape and keep pace with latest thinking and new security technologies, methodologies and policies * Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization * Strong people management skills – providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff and building a positive working environment * Robust business acumen, with the ability to build relationships and influence all levels within an organization, including the senior executive level, field employees & with customers, vendors and suppliers * Strong customer focus – able to meet the demands of internal and external customers * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to various levels of the organization, from direct reports to senior management and other stakeholders An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer –M/F/Disabled/Vet Job Location Elyria, Ohio, United StatesPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular Apply Invacare Australia Elyria OH
