DESCRIPTION

As IT Infrastructure Delivery Manager you will lead a team delivering multiple initiatives via a team of project managers, solution architects and externally contracted resources. You'll be adept at delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers for your team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen when needed.

Defining project needs and feeding these into the demand pipeline will enable resources to be appropriately allocated. You will be core to decisions that build high performing teams, where people are excited about the work they are undertaking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Delivering projects and products using appropriate project management methodologies, learning & iterating frequently

  • Establishing goals and objectives for a team of professionals and holding the team accountable for results

  • Managing a collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team

  • Matrix-managing a multidisciplinary team of resources

  • Ensure all solutions are built to an appropriate level of quality, and effectively transitioned to support

  • Actively participating in the IT Leadership community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practices

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects and products

  • Proven experience supervising others and managing to goals and objectives

  • Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity

  • Experience in matrix-managing multi-vendor teams

Responsibilities This Sr. Analyst will function as a Delivery Manager within Infrastructure Services. As a Delivery Manager, they will be embedded within an application portfolio, where they will be responsible for planning, road mapping and ensuring the delivery of the infrastructure needs of the application group. They will function as a single point of contact for the application groups for all infrastructure needs and provide insight into infrastructure capabilities and delivery. As a Delivery Manager, this Employee will develop strong relationships with their Customer groups in order to be proactive about anticipating needs, driving conversations about upcoming work, create and maintain the infrastructure demand roadmap, and work with both the application and infrastructure teams to ensure this work gets executed on time and within scope by the infrastructure teams. Conducts needs analysis to create quality solutions. Ensures solutions are aligned with stated requirements and comply with departmental standards. Manages activities to ensure solutions are delivered on-time and within budget. Serves as a resource to ensure effective communications. WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT: Technical Expertise: * Effectively applies knowledge and skills of analysis, business processes, tools, domains, project methodologies, requirements definitions, and testing to solve a range of problems. * Partners with other Technology Team members to provide advice or solutions within his or her area of expertise. * Stays informed about current developments within his or her expertise. EDUCATION: * BS, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent formal training required. EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 5 years work experience as an Analyst or equivalent position required. * 3 + years experience working as a Delivery Manager, or equivalent position, specifically within Infrastructure preferred. * 3 + years experience developing demand forecasts for infrastructure groups preferred. * 3 + years experience creating and maintaining project roadmaps for infrastructure groups preferred. * 3 + years experience working as a liaison between Application Development Teams and Infrastructure Teams preferred. * 1 + year experience managing the delivery of projects according to the Agile Methodology preferred. * Demonstrated experience with portfolio management preferred. * Ability to translate infrastructure jargon into business speak and communicate infrastructure needs across multiple work groups preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge of general Infrastructure principals and life cycles preferred. * Previous experience working in the aviation industry within a Technology Department preferred. PHYSICAL ABILITIES: * May require extended work hours per Leaders' request.
