What You'll Do

The Manager IT Controls position is part of the Controls & Compliance (C&C) team within Stanly Black & Decker's Global Accounting & Controllership organization and reports directly to the Global IT Senior Manager, Controls & Compliance. Stanley Black & Decker has a global footprint, and as a result, the C&C team works with various functions and management levels across the Company's Global Tools & Storage, Security, and Industrial segments. You'll get to:

  • Impact on the control environment and bottom line

  • Participate in special projects

  • Work with diverse teams across a global Company

  • Coordinate the maintenance of and regular review of the Global IT Control Framework

  • Design and coordinate the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure departments meet compliance with SBD's IT Control framework, company policies and industry regulations, including SOX 302 & 404 Compliance

  • Develop/update test plans of IT controls (design and operating effectiveness) to result in increased reliance by external audit

  • Collaborate with various functions and management levels to understand business process and control changes and analyze impact to control environment

  • Provide analysis to stakeholders on control gaps and collaborate on resolving such gaps

  • Monitor and/or execute various control activities to ensure compliance with frameworks and policies

  • SOC1 program development and annual management testing

  • Interacting with external auditors on matters related to audits of the organization's internal controls

  • Coordinating rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required

  • Identify control rationalization opportunities

  • Assist the team in reviewing Information Technology policies related to ITGCs and making appropriate recommendations

  • Assist the team with ad-hoc projects

  • Assist with Governance over Managed Service Provider [MSP] Support of Controls & Compliance Activities

  • Governance of Payment Card Industry [PCI] Directive and SBD Compliance

  • Education/Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or related area

  • Advanced Degree or Certification a plus

  • 5+ years of experience with Sarbanes Oxley 404 & 302 compliance, Internal / External Audit or Corporate Controls and Compliance

  • Knowledge of control frameworks (SOX, COSO, COBIT, NIST / Cybersecurity, etc.)

  • Knowledge of compliance standards, financial processes, and Payment Card Industry [PCI] Standards a plus

  • SAP experience a plus

  • Relevant Industry (manufacturing) experience a plus

  • Ability to independently manage and successfully execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (experience with PowerPoint preferred)

  • Passion for excellence and continuous improvement

  • Strong competency with advanced spreadsheet applications (Excel)

Intelligent Automation Solutions (IAS), currently consisting of Rapid (aka Robotic) Process Automation (RPA), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a component of Intelligent Automation Solutions (IAS) to enable digital operations & activities at SBD. The strategy for IAS is to mature a Center of Excellence (CoE), to centralize key functions, standardize and optimize processes, scale automation and technology within the organization, strengthen governance, and achieve the global long-term vision. This position will report directly to the Intelligent Automation Solutions Sr. Manager of Governance and Controls and will have a key role in the project intake process. This will include supporting new idea generation, performing initial customer outreach for submitted opportunities, and being involved in marketing efforts to expand the reach of the IAS team. In addition, this position will be responsible for liaising with Federated automation teams throughout Stanley Black & Decker, collaborating regularly with these developers to ensure compliance to the IAS Policies and Procedures, as well as members of the IAS Governance & Controls team, and IT Support, to report out on Federated project statuses, risks and issues. What You'll Do As an IAS Senior Analyst- Governance & Controls, you'll be a part of our Corporate team located remotely. You'll get to: * Manage upfront project intake process by monitoring the Bot Tracker for new projects, performing initial outreach on submitted opportunities, and setting up meetings with BU SMEs and other stakeholders, as needed, to review completed Initial Process Assessments * Support Governance reviews and project assignment process based on knowledge of proposed automation, its complexity and requirements, as well as team skill set and capacity * Maintain a growing knowledge of completed automations to support in the expansion efforts and new idea generation * Work cross-functionally with Federated developers and associated stakeholders to monitor progress of Federated projects and ensure their timely execution * Understand IAS Governance Policies & Procedures to be able to provide support and guidance to Federated developers * Regularly review project pipeline of Federated Team(s) to understand capacity and demand forecasts * Monitor and audit adherence to Governance Policies & Procedures.
