Manager IT Asset Management

Job Description:

We're actively seeking a talented Manager - IT Asset Management to join our End User Services team in Newport Beach, CA; Aliso Viejo, CA; Omaha NE or Lynchburg, VA. This role can be on-site, hybrid, or 100% remote.

As an ITAM Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) functions of the company, ensuring compliance, optimization, and cost-effectiveness of IT assets. You will also manage the Flexera asset discovery tool, which provides visibility and control over asset inventory and usage. You will lead a mixed team of contractors and FTEs who perform ITAM analyst functions, reporting to the AVP of End User Services.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ITAM policies, procedures, and best practices, aligned with the company's goals and industry standards.

• Oversee and govern the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data.

• Monitor and analyze the IT asset inventory, usage, and costs, using the Flexera tool and other sources, and identify opportunities for optimization, savings, and risk mitigation.

• Coordinate with IT vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to negotiate contracts, licenses, and agreements, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

• Prepare and present ITAM reports, dashboards, and metrics to senior management and relevant parties, highlighting the value and performance of IT assets.

• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of analysts and vendor relationships, providing guidance, feedback, and training.

• Responsible for enterprise-wide governance of ITAM documentation, processes and procedures, clearly articulating the roadmap of the team to senior leaders.

• Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and best practices in ITAM, and recommend improvements and enhancements to the ITAM processes and tools.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

• 6-9 years of relevant experience in ITAM, SAM, HAM, or related field, preferably in a fortune 500 company leading a team of Sr. ITAM Analysts and contractors.

• Proficient in using the Flexera asset discovery tool, or similar tools, to manage and optimize IT assets.

• Strong knowledge of ITAM standards, frameworks, and methodologies, such as ITIL, ISO, and COBIT.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and large-scale data.

• Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various levels of the organization and external parties.

• Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$131,040.00 - $160,160.00
