Manager, Inventory Health Management
Wayfair is looking for a driven, analytical leader with proven experience in business management, process improvement, championing innovative thinking, and driving organizational change to join the CastleGate Inventory Health team. This team is at the forefront of building an innovative, scalable inventory management strategy within Wayfair. CastleGate was created to dramatically improve the online consumer shopping experience while developing a competitive advantage for Wayfair. We do this by offering one and two-day delivery guarantees, lower costs, and higher delivery quality of home products than has historically been possible. To accomplish this goal, CastleGate partners with hundreds of suppliers, and provides access to our rapidly expanding portfolio of logistics services. Suppliers ship inventory directly to Wayfair warehouses on consignment. CastleGate is one of Wayfair's newer business units, is growing rapidly, and operates entrepreneurially.
What You'll Do
Drive organizational change by directly leading process improvement initiatives related to Inventory Management & End of Life Cycle strategy.
Act as primary operational leader & day-to-day contact for Account Management & Inventory Planners to ensure optimal execution & continuous improvement of our inventory strategies, by supplier & business vertical.
In partnership with other leaders across Operations Product Innovation (Product Management), Operations Research, Warehousing, Transportation & Logistics, Pricing, and other Operations teams, push boundaries to re-think & develop new processes and technology solutions.
Serve as primary product owner for all technology enhancements involving inventory management & unhealthy inventory. Ensure that the technology and tools necessary for successful process execution or enhancements are defined & outlined against the current technology infrastructure.
Develop a framework(s) for decisions including sourcing strategy, supplier/item selection, positioning, demand consolidation, replenishment, and inventory management.
Identify the KPIs for measuring success of the availability program and identifying the necessary steps to build and deliver the KPIs.
Work collaboratively cross-functionally to manage to shared KPIs, to ensure overall business performance.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline
5+ years of experience in operations, engineering, consulting, strategy or finance with direct management experience preferred
Proven track record of leadership, taking ownership and driving results
Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving and communicating recommendations
Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently partner with a broad range of levels and functions to achieve objectives
Proficiency with SQL and ability to analyze large data sets to deliver clear, actionable insights
Process improvement experience (LEAN, Six Sigma, etc) or certification (Green or Black Belt) a plus, but not required
