Job Description Summary

The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Manager, Internal Communications in the Office of External Affairs. The Manager, Internal Communications is responsible for developing and implementing an internal communications program, helping to improve awareness and understanding of the organization's key strategic goals, mission, and vision. The incumbent will work closely with Office of External Affairs staff and others across the organization to ensure a consistent and effective internal communications program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain an internal communications program to ensure consistent, useful, and relevant communication to employees across the organization

  • Manage internal communications platform

  • Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and internal stakeholders

  • Ensure that internal communications reflect the organization's strategic vision and are consistent with external communications

  • Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce reusable communications mechanisms (templates, style guidelines, etc.)

  • Measure and present the results of communications efforts

  • Provide editorial support and communications advice to other departments and divisions as needed

  • Support offices and divisions with strategic communications about initiatives and accomplishments

  • Obtain and respond to feedback from users and adjust communications approach and content accordingly

  • Write and edit content written by others

  • Partner with Human Resources functional areas on all aspects of internal communications and employee engagement

  • Assist with other communications projects and initiatives as needed by the Office of External Affairs

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education/Technical Expertise

  • BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, or comparable professional experience required

  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting internal enterprise communications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences; explain and educate concepts around content creation for digital/online publishing

  • Experience working with SharePoint or other content management system

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the ability to source stories from employees

  • Experience creating and delivering oral presentation

  • Proactive, quality-oriented, with demonstrated leadership and team-building skills

  • Familiarity with graphic design using standard tools such as Illustrator or Photoshop

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently on projects and collaborate as a contributing team member

  • Extremely detail-oriented and the ability to manage multiple, critical tasks concurrently

  • Ability to work under tight, daily deadlines and flexibility to changing requirements

This position includes flexibility to be primarily located at a Zimmer Biomet US site or remote Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Develop and execute on the Compliance Communications strategy, and provide strategic support to regional Compliance teams in identifying and developing regional communication needs. * Ensure alignment of strategic communications priorities among regions and business units. * Closely partner with Corporate Communications team to deliver Compliance communications through Zimmer Biomet's communications channels, and to develop innovative new channels and modalities to increase Team Member engagement. * Develop strategic Compliance communications for third-party business partners involving Compliance developments, news, and critical information. * Develop and lead a process to measure communications effectiveness. * Work closely with business leaders to develop Compliance communications that may be issued on their behalf. * Partner with gatekeeper functions, including Compliance Monitoring, Audit, and Investigations, to assess Compliance communication needs in response to identified issues or recurring themes. * Design annual Compliance Week activities in conjunction with regional Compliance teams to increase Team Member awareness of Compliance resources.
