We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Manager Internal Communications on our team. This Manager Internal Communications role is responsible for leading strategic communication planning, execution, and subsequent change management for large technology programs and portfolios of work for the Enterprise IT organization at Envision Healthcare. The role requires an advanced understanding of technology and will work closely with the Envision CIO and IT leadership team as a business partner. The position reports to the Internal Communication Sr. r. Director and is aligned to the Chief Information Officer. Candidates must possess strong writing and editing skills, as well as proven experience in internal communications and change management.

This is a remote position, allowing the Manager Internal Communications - IT to be based anywhere in the country.


  • Assist the Chief Information Officer and the IT leadership team to develop, deliver, and maintain an IT communication strategy that executes on the business goals and desired outcomes of the IT organization.

  • Collaborate with IT and Corporate Communication leadership to develop effective communication and change management strategies that improve teammate engagement while aligning IT messaging with company vision.

  • Support roll out of new policies, strategies, and processes especially as they relate to the CIO's strategic plan.

  • Build strong relationships with and advise IT business unit leaders to set the vision and direction of IT communication.

  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across IT communication platforms and programs (internal and external)

  • Measure and analyze the use and effectiveness of communication efforts and provide recommendations for optimizing results.

  • Establish proactive mechanisms for audience feedback and adjust communication strategies and content based on that input.

  • Monitor and manage the most relevant topics and trends within the company that impact IT teammates and culture

  • Cultivate a communication culture for IT which promotes engagement and feedback.

  • Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision is as secure as possible.

  • Travel: Up to 10% as needed nationally.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills

  • Working knowledge of change management principles, strategies, and processes

  • Working knowledge of technology operations

  • Ability to succinctly convey complex messages that are professional, consistent and support company vision and brand position.

  • Ability to capture the voice of executives and provide council on communication best practices

  • Ability to work collaboratively across a diverse, matrixed team to ensure messaging and programs are delivered quickly, consistently, and powerfully across multiple channels and locations.

  • Comfort am with ambiguity and the ability to navigate large, multi-disciplinary environments.

  • Ability to create strong, strategic business relationships and solicit/act on partner feedback

  • Executive presence and the ability to coach leadership on effective strategic communication

  • Ability and flexibility in managing multiple projects at a time as well as just-in-time issues to drive the work forward.

  • Proven ability to maintain confidential information appropriately and exercise good judgment when communicating.

  • Knowledge of integrated health care a plus.

  • Able to travel up to 10% nationally.

  • Must be comfortable in a work-from-home environment.

  • Must meet company basic standards for working remotely.


  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field

  • 5+ years of corporate communication or IT communication experience, in an integrated health care setting highly preferred

  • Proven comfort with Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of common collaborative tools/platforms (Teams, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Change Management Certification preferred
