The Manager, Integrated Analytics is responsible for leading the integration and execution of analytics which generate new business insights and uncover growth opportunities for brands within Infectious Diseases. This position will serve as an internal consultant to marketing and sales and cross functional partners: delivering actionable recommendations, shaping decision-making, and driving organizational action. The position plays a key role in advising the commercial team in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, design, and execute integrated analytics which inform marketing and sales strategy and tactics

  • Leverage disparate data sources to address key business questions and uncover business opportunities.

  • Determine optimal analytic approaches and statistical methods, identify appropriate supplier partners, foster strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing, and overall project goals.

  • Develop new insights and actionable recommendations and influence business partners at all levels to incorporate in decision making.

  • Ensure seamless integration of analytics from national and subnational levels across key data sources to evaluate business performance and impact of marketing and sales tactics.

  • Identify and develop key metrics to measure and monitor performance through automated dashboards.

  • Serve as a champion for the implementation of Commercial Innovation capabilities (AA, PPIA, CIO, etc.) to drive impact for brand or franchise and drive organizational efficiencies.

  • Serve as a leader in integrating data and analytics (national, subnational, payer) with cross functional findings and insights developed by peers across the Commercial Excellence team

  • Integrate payer data and insights into ongoing business analytics to drive a holistic view of the customer and market

  • Exhibit strong partnership in the development of designs for and execution of Sales Optimization, Targeting and Call Plan, Field Reporting, and Incentive Compensation Strategy & Design.

  • Leverage and manage external partners to support internal efforts, where appropriate

  • Drive focus and innovation through objective research and analyses and the integration of insights enabling organizational decision making and action.

  • Champion the development and implementation of analytics approaches and methods that are innovative, drive efficiencies, and contribute to broader sharing of best practices.

  • Demonstrate leadership courage in order to set boundaries and ensure time is spent on the most critical/ high value projects

  • Drive a culture of simplicity within the analytics function to ensure business processes are streamlined and partners are provided on-demand insights that translate to action.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS required; an MBA or advanced degree preferred

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years related experience

  • Demonstrated success at being a strategic advisor to business leaders

  • Demonstrated success solving business problems and generating actionable insights and recommendations

  • Experience shaping and influencing organizational decision-making

  • Strength in storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations

  • Knowledge across a broad spectrum of analytic approaches and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions

  • High degree of intellectual curiosity

  • Strong leadership agility and demonstrated success solving ambiguous business issues

  • Ability to execute basic statistical methods such as Test and Control, Regression, etc.

  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Tableau

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling etc.) and experience with real-world applications

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g. supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) and their real-world advantages and drawbacks

  • Expertise in domain specific data sets of pharma and specialty pharmacy data sources (including RWE, Patient level data, & sales data sources)

This role is based in Titusville, NJ and will require up to 10% travel

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) functions as a subject matter expert on current Janssen Infectious Diseases products and Infectious Diseases & Vaccines pipeline research to internal business partners and external customers. The Medical Science Liaison: * Is considered a scientific and clinical expert responsible for providing comprehensive, accurate, fair balanced, objective, scientifically rigorous information and appropriate product and disease state education to key opinion leaders, population health decision makers, other health care professionals and internal partners based on business needs in compliance with all policies and procedures. * Is responsible for building and maintaining external relationships with recognized experts in the therapeutic area and effectively engages these individuals in scientific exchange in accordance with company strategy at an appropriately determined cadence. * Responds to unsolicited requests for medical information from healthcare providers. * Is responsible for staying current on scientific literature and treatment landscape trends relevant to Janssen Infectious Diseases & Vaccines. * Provides high level support for company sponsored trials and aides in navigating investigator-initiated research proposals through the review process. * Strategically approaches territory management and adjusts strategy and tactics as directed. * Attends scientific conferences to gather, analyze and synthesize new scientific information relevant to the company and the external scientific community. * Executes key administrative functions, including documentation of field activities, submission of medical insights, expense report submission, and other tasks as deemed business necessary.
