The Manager of Instructional Design will design, develop and implement learning strategies, programs, and processes that facilitate behavioral change, transfers critical knowledge, and develops differentiated skills in our employees to meet the needs of the business. Major responsibilities include assessing learning needs and translating those needs into appropriate learning strategies for the business. This role requires a strong focus on working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders so that sustainable solutions can be developed, delivered and scaled.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Design & Development

  • Develops and implements processes to design and develop solutions that enable input from critical stakeholders, speed to market delivery and learner utilization to improve leadership capabilities.

  • Consults with stakeholders to assess learning and training needs, identify gaps and determine appropriate learning strategy.

  • Ensures learning and development opportunities are aligned with the business strategy.

Functional Results

  • Measures the effectiveness and efficiency of solutions and monitor their ongoing impact.

  • Solicits and incorporates feedback from subject matter experts and assess evaluation feedback to make appropriate changes.

  • Analyzes and shares key learnings and provides recommendations to continually improve the solutions.

  • Explore alternative methods/mediums of providing training to the field.

  • Establishes and maintains standards for content design, development, and delivery. This to include multi-modal learning strategies.

Managing Execution

  • Project manages the development and implementation of Vail Resorts learning experiences (e-Learning, ILT, Informal, etc.). This includes, preparing and delivering project documentation, status reports, and communications with stakeholders.

  • Manage multiple projects and processes on time and on budget.

Building Relationships

  • Fosters team work, maximizes efficiencies, and works to promote effective synergies within the Talent Development COE.

Job Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree required. Advanced degree or additional certification a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of instructional design and development experience.

  • 1+ years managing others.

  • A strong portfolio of eLearning and ILT work that demonstrates mastery as an instructional designer.

  • A track record of utilizing the latest information on instructional design techniques and practices.

  • Possess strong content writing ability, creativity, attention to detail and excellent proofing and editing skills.

  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills. Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise well-organized manner.

  • Critical thinking skills & analytical approach to problem solving and driving toward solutions.

VIEW JOBS 3/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-09T00:00 SUMMARY The Restaurant Design Manager provides leadership and direction to deliver the brands identity through a set of design principles to achieve all restaurant design related goals and objectives for Noodles World Kitchen. The design of Noodles World Kitchen restaurants combines pragmatic operational solutions with creative brand building as part of a total design solution. This position plays a key role in coordinating all design program elements into an operational restaurant environment, providing an excellent guest and team environment and positioning the Noodles World Kitchen brand as a leader in fast-casual restaurants. As part of a growth focused model this position will be responsible for design of new restaurant development, both corporate and franchise, as well as remodel/refresh programs, prototype development and ongoing R&D for all projects. Achieving design excellence in all phases of the restaurant development process is one of the prime objectives of this position. You will be responsible for various aspects of Noodles World Kitchen restaurant design and project management, including design, technical and administrative duties and management of multiple projects' budget, scope and schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES * Help create a set of design principles to guide building Noodles brand identity in all restaurants * Ensure new/remodel store designs deliver the brand identity design principles, create efficient physical guest flow for dine-in and off-premise and allow for convenient and efficient store operations * Execute interior and exterior design of multiple new restaurants & remodels in a timely manner * Manage restaurant design projects from inception to completion * Present design materials to multiple team members including Operations to gain approval of proposed interior & exterior design * Review and redline construction documents, both architectural and MEP * Create schematic designs for preliminary project * Research and recommend alternate options for materials and furnishings * Coordinate with internal and external parties, including vendors, architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to assure timely and successful design completion * Support Franchise Partners with design direction when needed * Support and contribute ideas to company's design strategy, focusing on impacting guests' visual and physical experience * Develop and present presentation materials including material boards and color elevations as required * Organize, maintain and manage project files, including all working drafts, specs, materials and documentation * Maintain Noodles & Company operations understanding and knowledge in order to offer expert advice and recommendations KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS * Solid understanding of core architectural design concepts, practices and codes * Ability to apply critical thinking and problem resolution to all areas of project development * Computer proficiency in Photoshop, Sketch up, & Microsoft Office, REVIT experience a plus * Willingness and ability to adapt and adhere to Noodles & Company's design direction * Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, while collaborating in a team environment * Proven ability to communicate professionally and build solid internal and external relationships * Organized, detail-oriented, ability to exercise independent judgement, and prioritize tasks and schedules * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Flexibility and desire to work in a fast – paced and evolving organization * Ability to travel 15% of the time EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in Architecture * 5-7 years of experience in Auto CAD, proven success in a restaurant design role, and in the site development process * Experience in Lucernex, proven success in a restaurant design role, and in the site development process * Experience working in a design capacity with a leading story-telling brand that leverages the emotional connections of the brand to compete and differentiate the brands position preferred.
