Position Summary...

What you'll do...

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Sam's Club Data & Business Insights team as a Manager, Insights Consulting. In this role you will address complex business problems by applying advanced research or analytical methods to inform strategic decision making at leading wholesale retailer.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with functional business partners and cross-functional teams to understand strategic business objectives or challenges and develop hypotheses to test through primary research.

• Develop research plans to address business issues and administer qualitative or quantitative research initiatives to yield powerful insights and recommendations for the business. Manage the initiative end to end.

• Design survey instruments for internal panels and/or partner with third-party suppliers to execute research plans.

• Develop and review complex data sets and analytical results provided by internal teams or third-party suppliers, create visually compelling data storytelling deliverables, and deliver actionable recommendations to address business issues.

• Present recommendations to business partners and leaders to Inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives.

• Partner with research team and cross-functional task forces to solve multiple business issues concurrently.

• Support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders.

• Demonstrate adaptability to change and promote continuous learning, seeking innovative methodologies and approaches to increase efficiency and effectiveness

What you'll bring:

• Experience in consumer insights with background in end-to-end market research project management, including survey design

• A portfolio of examples where insights and recommendations you provided from consumer research were acted upon and had a positive impact on business success

• Experience interpreting and analyzing data and information from multiple sources using advanced methodologies to identify solutions to business challenges.

• Experience in developing reports and executive presentations incorporating key insights across workstreams for multiple concurrent projects.

• Strategic thinking - Adopts a holistic perspective that considers primary and secondary data, analytics, consumer insights, and different parts of the business when making plans and shaping strategic recommendations

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• An eye for detail - major decisions hinge on small nuances in data
