Cloud Logistics by E2open is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead a world class Saas (Software-as-a-service) sales department. The ideal candidate is someone experienced in building and managing Account Executives in the software sales industry space. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable reaching across organizational boundaries, building relationships across the company and driving the development of their team. E2open is a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to be successful in this role, the candidate must possess high energy to motivate the Inside Sales Account Executives every day, be experienced in managing and executing a pipeline, handling objections, coaching, and managing projects from conception through implementation. Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills are a must.
Reporting to the VP of Transportation Management, the Sales Manager role is critical to our sales and marketing operations and to the company as a whole.
Train and manage a high performing Account Executive team to meet goals and objectives.
Managing and following up on marketing campaigns to qualify and develop opportunities for the sales pipeline.
Act as a mentor and coach to the Account Executives, while maintaining a positive and motivational work environment.
Participate in building sales processes; inbound and outbound call processes; creating and deciding on territory breakdowns, territory alignment, compensation plans, sales development rep hiring, and career progression to achieve expected performance.
Developing sales tools and providing training to enable the sales development team to be effective in the qualification process and understanding of the sales process.
Incorporating and leveraging social media tools and techniques in the qualification and selling processes.
Collaborate with multiple departments to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings.
Knowledge of several consultative sales methodologies, and experience with coaching sales development reps with limited experience on application of consultative techniques applied to full life cycle sales
Monitor performance to goals and ensure accountability within the sales development team.
As a sales leader you will be accountable for monthly, quarterly, and annual team quota.
Develop, execute and orchestrate gamification techniques to incent/motivate sales development team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ensure compliance with sales methods and process across sales development team.
Monitor the quality and consistency of all sales processes, metrics and activities.
Manage sales activity, lead management and call processes in Salesforce.com.
Develop reporting to provide visibility of the team's performance to goal.
Proven success as a team player working within cross functional teams across outside/field sales, product, engineering, marketing, operations and customer service to achieve common goals.
Minimum of 2+ years with a strong track record of sales development management experience in software sales with documented results.
Minimum of 2+ years of direct closing experience with documented results in the Saas field.
Have proven experience managing sales development reps which supports an inside enterprise sales organization.
Strong hands-on coaching/training skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coach and train reps with limited experience in a positive, effective manner, and are prepared to be promoted in 2-3 years.
Process driven and strong analytical skills and metrics driven sales management.
Ability to think outside the box and generate and implement new ideas.
Excellent organizational skills. Detail oriented.
Proficiency with SalesForce.com required and Salesloft preferred.
Experience in the enterprise software or supply chain industry a plus.
2 years: 2+ years of direct closing experience with documented results in the Saas field.
2 years: strong track record of sales development management experience in software sales.
