Job Summary:

This is a senior-level individual contributor position within our corporate facilities and engineering department. This position requires strong technical knowledge of energy efficiency practices; building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment, components and systems; building automation controls and optimization strategies; system commissioning and retro-commissioning activities; and/or green building practices. The successful candidate will play an essential role in the reliable and efficient operation of the company's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as preservation of building structures and systems. They will also support the development and prioritization of a multi-year maintenance and infrastructure capital plan. The candidate will support the company's corporate and property facility operations as a technical engineering resource. They will also interface closely with the strategic sourcing and design and construction departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct/Coordinate comprehensive multi-property hotel/casino energy assessments & analysis through property audits and coordination with on-site facility/engineering staff.

  • Identify, analyze and implement high-value energy efficiency projects and maintenance capital upgrades applicable to each individual property location, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing system upgrades, maintenance and repairs, and advanced building automation control strategies.

  • Develop, prioritize and manage infrastructure projects at property locations corporate-wide. Create project scopes, assist with issuing requests for proposals, evaluate bid responses and manage contractors.

  • Perform technical analysis to quantify project savings and identify key performance indicators to ensure persistence of savings.

  • Manage building and site optimization activities as related to central plant & HVAC equipment and controls. Develop a BMS standardization roadmap, centralized reporting & controls capabilities, and advanced sequences of operation.

  • Perform design reviews for new construction and recommend energy-saving measures, including optimum mechanical, electrical and plumbing system selection and lighting and control equipment selection based on life-cycle analysis.

  • Provide general engineering/technical support and guidance to property facility personnel across the enterprise.

  • Manage consultants and contractors as needed to accomplish required objectives.

  • Support corporate facility operations in the development of minimum standards for preventative maintenance of major mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across the enterprise and assist with analyzing and recommending insourcing versus outsourcing decisions.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent desired; and M.S. Engineering or equivalent a plus. Building system and structural experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience involving building systems and energy efficiency; energy services and performance contracting; energy modeling and analysis; building MEP design; controls servicing and programming; building MEP and/or structural construction management; or a combination thereof.

  • Strong working knowledge of building infrastructure and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, energy conservation measures & load management programs.

  • Experience with construction/project management, building codes and requirements, vendor negotiations and energy project analysis.

  • Experience with design review of new construction from an energy efficiency perspective, green building standards, and green building certification.

  • Professional Engineer and/or Certified Energy Manager and/or LEED Accreditation, a plus.

  • HVAC design and/or energy modeling experience, a plus.

  • Experience with energy efficient design and LEED standards, a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Work Environment

  • Corporate office work environment

  • Some work performed at property locations in a "back-of-house" environment including mechanical and electrical equipment rooms and outdoors

  • Some travel required

General Description Perform at a professional journeyman level in a highly critical environment, requiring the utmost level of concentration and exacting well planned actions. Will perform a variety of complex services in a highly-specialized building systems facility. Will perform daily in a well planned and executed fashion sharing in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations and facilities. This is a day time position during regular business hours. The primary focus of this role will be electrical, HVAC and UPS operation experience. We are looking for someone with expert level experience in switchgear and UPS Ops. Responsibilities: * 24x7 facility on-call responsibility. * Monitor the buildings HVAC, mechanical, Fire Suppression and electrical systems. * Perform preventive maintenance and site surveys. * Oversee vendor facility maintenance. * Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans and other technical documents. * Perform operation, installation, and servicing of peripheral devices. * Oversee and assist with equipment start-ups, repairs and overhauls. * Perform emergency response and equipment repair. * Install, or oversee, the installation of power for customer orders and other electrical modifications as assigned while maintaining a safe work environment * Maintain data center documentation as assigned, i.e., Run Books, layouts, and diagrams. * Prepare Maintenance Window documentation for work to be performed. * Assist with off-hours and weekend maintenance activities when required. * Assist with Preparation of reports on System and Facility performance. * Assist with Preparation of reports on customer utilization including space and power. * Assist with Shift Coverage when required * Perform other duties as assigned by management.
