Currently seeking a Manager, Industrial Engineering for our Clyde, OH location, which is where Whirlpool's Washing Machines are manufactured. This individual will have an active role on a World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Pillar Team: Focused Improvement (FI), Workplace Organization (WO), and/or Logistics & Customer Service (LCS) Pillars. The position will actively participate in Pillar team meetings, master plan implementation, and the development of kaizens. The Industrial Engineering Manager has a leadership role in the following activities:
Lead a team of industrial engineers and technicians
Identify loss reduction projects based on World Class Manufacturing Cost Deployment, Quality, and Safety Matrices
Stratify losses to prioritize and select proper tools to reduce losses
Train team members in proper methodologies and tool usage to attack losses
Lead cross-functional teams in identifying the root cause of problems and lead teams in loss reduction projects
Maintain labor routers/standards for profit planning process, cost reduction opportunities, and day-to-day activities
Manage the mini-bill system to determine the sequence of assembly operations
Participate in new product design events to determine appropriate assembly sequence and provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements
Participate in the development of factory master plan strategies to improve the process, material, and information flows
Strong understanding of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies and tools in a large manufacturing environment:
Specifically, Focused Improvement (FI), Workplace Organization (WO), and/or Logistics & Customer Service (LCS) Pillars
Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects that eliminate the root causes of problems
Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution, and team building skills
Outstanding organization, communication, and leadership skills
Comfortable relating to all levels of an organization
Proficient in Google Tools
