Overview

City Gear Manager in Training is responsible for learning the store manager's responsibilities which will make you eligible for consideration for promotion within the company. Your goal is to efficiently learn how to manage the entire store in the absence of store and assistant managers which includes but is not limited to leading a dynamic customer service oriented team, creating a "best in class" shopping experience for all City Gear customers, achieving store sales goals and compliance on all store operational procedures including payroll and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training, coaching and development of sales associates in providing a "Best In-Class" shopping experience and driving overall sales

  • Aide in fostering a cohesive, team-oriented environment while understanding and enforcing our cultural

  • Help manager identify training needs of individual team members and address

  • Assist manager in recruiting ahead of needs to facilitate promoting from

  • Assist in training staff on operational excellence and maintain an organized and orderly work environment.

  • Manage payroll through effective scheduling both to the needs of the business, and to deter

  • Cultivate open and constant communication with entire staff using company

  • Consistently execute company merchandise directives including ad sets and promotional

  • Assist in training staff to understand how to merchandise and incorporate new receipts into current floor-set.

  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly store.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of verifiable work experience required; previous management experience

  • Proven ability to increase

  • Ability to expand customer base through high-level customer

  • Demonstrate ability to facilitate learning at all

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and written and verbal communication

  • Ability to execute objectives related to payroll, visual presentations and shrink

  • College degree preferred, but not

  • Ability to spend up to 100 % of work time standing, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, climbing, walking, reaching and other physical activities. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Job Description As the Sr. Technical Training Consultant, you will manage, administer and deliver training for Heatcraft Certified Contractor Program, and deliver technical training courses as needed. We're looking for collaborative leaders who are experienced in utilizing new training technologies, such as interactive training tools/ software and digital or online training methods to improve program efficiency and effectiveness. You will design, develop and deliver training courses for training technical employees and customers in the areas of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of our commercial refrigeration products and refrigeration controls. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: * Develop, test, and maintain courses and materials used in training. * Establish course content and student learning objectives based on problem areas and training needs. * Prepare course syllabus, lesson plans, and student manuals, and coordinates the development of training aids. * Manage training class logistics for scheduled courses, including reviewing customer requests, coordinating training locations & materials, establishing class rosters and tracking prequalification and post-course exams, while also providing frequent updates to customers/sales team until class execution. * Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the certification program and instills a culture of continuous improvement, including building business cases for ongoing investment in the training programs. * Update course materials on a continuous basis to ensure accuracy and relevance. * Conduct training using established and new methods and platforms of delivery. * Work with Marketing Communications team to promote Heatcraft training programs. * Provide direction to entry-level technical trainers. Qualifications WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * At least 5 years related experience. * Advanced knowledge of assigned products and the application of diagnostic techniques and service aids. * Knowledge and ability to apply learning theories to classroom situations. * Developed presentation skills using a variety of technologies. * Strong verbal and written communication skills required. * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Proficient in leading WebEx meetings.
