Position Purpose

Performs moderately complex management or oversight activates for daily operations of an operating department. Work involves establishing short-, mid-, or long-term goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, rules and regulations; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities; and developing and evaluating budget requests. Plans, assigns, and/or supervises the work of others. Works under limited direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in the preparation and coordination of the annual capital with accurate reflections of operating costs.

  • Reviews annual budget development submissions with departmental staff including providing instructions, reviewing for technical accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures, format and guidelines.

  • Prepares routine reports such as cost analysis, performance data, financial target analysis and produces routine expenditure and revenue reports to provide appropriate monitoring for corrective decision making.

  • Reviews council agenda items for appropriate financial and budgetary data and coordinates with departmental staff for resolution of problems.

  • Manages activities of staff in the capital unit. Delegation of authority and responsibility for assigned tasks to subordinates.

  • Identifies needed areas of change/and or development and institutes change to improve operations.

  • Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors compliance, and evaluates policies and procedures.

  • Reviews and oversees work schedules of others all subordinate levels.

  • Establishes short-, mid- and long-term goals and objectives; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; and directs evaluation activities.

  • Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies.

  • Oversees special investigations, internal audits, and research studies.

  • Oversees the planning, development and operation of special projects or facilities.

  • Provides technical guidance in the unit or functional program area and the citywide organization.

  • Represents the program area at meetings, hearings, trials, conferences, and seminars or on boards, panels, and committees.

  • Performs related work as assigned.

  • Regular, reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job.

Position Summary: The Branch Client Service Manager III is accountable for delivering high quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients through the day-to-day account management of an assigned group of accounts within a Branch that consistently meets or exceeds CSO revenue benchmark expectations. This role reports directly into either the Branch Client Service Director or the Branch Client Service Supervisor. The Branch Client Service Manager III directly contributes to key business outcomes such as client retention, client satisfaction, enhancing AJG's value to our clients and prospects, achieving operating/margin targets and fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Successfully and profitably manages an assigned group of accounts. * Builds and solidifies relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional ongoing care. * In partnership with the Production team, takes a leadership role in the renewal process, ensuring that the best possible solution is delivered to the client in a high-quality & timely manner. * Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and lines of coverage. * Cultivates relationships with the buyer in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client representatives and buyer. * The Client Service Manager III title is determine based on factors including but not limited to total revenue under management, complexity, strategic accounts, etc. Required: * Bachelor's degree with 5 years client service and/or claims management experience -OR- High School degree/GED with 10 years client service and/or claims management experience. * 1 years supervisory experience. * P&C License Desired: * Previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships. * Solid financial acumen. Work Traits: * Proficient in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Comfortably engages others in consultative discussion. * Effectively manages/balances multiple and sometimes competing priorities. * Works in a self-directed manner.
