Manager II Medicare Quality Management

Location: New York, NY; Wallingford, CT; Iselin, NJ

Open to other locations for the most qualified applicant; must reside within a commutable distance to an Anthem office in our East Region

The Manager II Medicare Quality Management

  • Plan is responsible for developing and ensuring effective coordination of quality initiatives within the health plan, to include indicators for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care, service, and satisfaction of providers and members.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishes and implements Quality Management objectives and action plans to improve Stars and HEDIS performance.

  • Leads a team of provider facing (telephonic and in person) associates to improve quality of care and services.

  • Coordinates development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement and member satisfaction action plans.

  • Provides oversight and ensures implementation of the Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information Set (HEDIS) data management and reporting strategy; coordinates the related improvement action plans.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS in a health or business related field; 7 years of experience in a healthcare environment, including prior management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Medicare experience required.

  • HEDIS experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSN, MPH, or MPA preferred.

  • Current clinical license preferred.

A Day in the Life Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering under broad direction to ensure components, finished products and processes meet established specifications. Analyze material and processes and make recommendations/ take action to correct deficiencies. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Evaluate compliance of materials and/or processes with specification and customer requirements * Collect, analyze, interpret and summarize statistical data * Perform defect analysis on components and finished goods * Create validation protocols, summaries, and approvals * Initiate corrective action requests on discrepant product/processes and verify adequacy and accuracy of corrective action taken internally and/or externally * Assist in Design of Experiments to improve process/product * Assist other functions in the timely disposition of material to support operational objectives * Perform analyses and provide reports to management * Assist suppliers in developing inspection methods * Perform Gage R&R and correlation studies * Work with QA Technicians to resolve measurement and testing issues * Work with QA departments to resolve blueprint/specification issues * Work with other departments to resolve issues related to material and process quality, including FMEA, DOE, SPC * Develop Control Plans, Inspection Instructions and other documents as needed to effectively manage product/process quality * Develop and review documented operating procedures associated with material inspection or processes * Work directly with suppliers to prevent or correct discrepant material * Compile and issue monthly reports to management * Assign primary responsibilities and tasks to QA department * Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation * Support CAPA activities Must Have: Minimum Requirements * Bachelors degree required * Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience Nice to Have Strong communication, manufacturing process, product industrialization and leadership skills * Solid design, troubleshooting and presentation skills * Strong project management skills * Well versed in molding, stamping and machining methods. * Tooling and processing experience a plus. * Experience in assembly equipment technologies * Working Knowledge of Six Sigma * Working knowledge of GD&T * Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA , and Risk Tools * Working knowledge of DFA/ DFM principles * Analyze and chart statistical and process data using Minitab, MS Excel, or equivalent * Working knowledge of 21CFR820, ISO13485, Canadian MDR and MDD 93/42/EEC * Knowledge of validation process protocol creation and summaries * Proficient in Project Management * Product development process * ASQ certification or equivalent is desirable About Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
