Position:

Prime Clerk is seeking to hire an experienced professional to oversee the daily operations, financial reporting and consolidation process of our subsidiaries. The Financial Reporting Manager will work collaboratively with the finance teams of Duff & Phelps, Prime Clerk and their subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have experience managing growth opportunities and implementing operational changes as well as administering accounting policies & procedures, in compliance with US GAAP.

The Financial Reporting Manager will report to Prime Clerk's CFO. The employee will work primarily in Prime Clerk's Manhattan office; travel from time to time to Prime Clerk's subsidiary locations may be required.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Reporting Manager will:

  • Assist in reviewing daily operations of consolidating entities

  • Coordinate and communicate with subsidiary locations to ensure operational success and timely and accurate reporting

  • Review month end close schedules and financial statements

  • Consolidate monthly financial statements into Prime Clerk

  • Ensure subsidiaries are prepared for big 4 audit

  • Develop monthly reporting package for consolidating entities

  • Assist in annual forecasting and updates throughout the year as appropriate

  • Perform other tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting

  • At least 5 years of experience working in public accounting

  • CPA license is preferred

  • Strong excel and analytical skills

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-15T00:00 The Manager, Financial Analysis & Reporting will be responsible to perform timely and accurate financial analysis including workers compensation audit reconciliations, account receivable aging and cash allocation. This position requires a working knowledge of accounting principles and has the opportunity to apply this knowledge through access to accounting and sub-ledger systems. Responsible for managing and performing the premium allocation and claims administration processes, key financial statement component examinations and overall payroll programs at a high level. Develop and update internal accounting controls and assist with compliance and regulation in the preparation of financial statements. Manage a team or individuals to meet department objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinate with the Insurance & Risk Management group to obtain annual exposure and loss information for group insurance program renewals. * Prepare group insurance program premium allocations including workers compensation, property, auto, and general liability. Work with management to enhance allocation methodologies where appropriate. * Prepare client premium charge-outs and reconcile monthly premium billings to captive, self-insurance trust, and commercial insurance expenditures. * Reconcile monthly legal adjustment expenses for captive, self-insurance trust, and commercial insurance carriers. * Prepare monthly management financial statements and budget reports. Reconcile surplus, intercompany, and tax liability with parent company finance team. * Prepare quarterly financial reporting package for client hospital self-insurance trusts. * Assist in the preparation of quarterly loss reserve and LAE reserve rollforwards, including loss run paid reconciliations and the modeling of exposure layers * Compile quarterly analytical loss reports and assist in the on-going development of new demonstratives * Populate triangles and other loss demonstratives for quarterly client meetings * Perform ad hoc analyses supporting senior management and/or direct requests from clients QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience Required: * Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics * 4-7 years of professional experience in public accounting, consulting, or similar job type * Could be just out of school but needs strong excel skills * Preferable to have knowledge of Financial Services Industry, specifically related to property & casualty insurance * CPA (preferred) * Advanced knowledge of Excel and Database structures * Familiar with loading data and executing queries in Access * Understand structure and relationship between financial statement reports (balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow) Elements to be required in Excel Model * Vlookup * Sumifs * Pivot Tables * Present Value * If/Then * Dynamic modeling elements * Formatting PERFORMANCE MEASURES: TBD PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
