What you'll do...

Position: Manager II - Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Build and deploy analytical frameworks such as customer propensity models and customer lifetime value models to provide insights and make informed decisions.

Responsible for SQL development including complex queries on big data. Build scalable, fault tolerant executive dashboards using Tableau, Excel, and Power BI for front end. Build data pipelines using Hive, SQL, and Python.

Provide management-level visibility through weekly updates on key initiatives and KPIs for the team. Build prescriptive machine learning frameworks around customer behavior and lifecycle using algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, random forest, XGBoost, and K-means clustering. Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure a robust pipeline is built for consumption in the Big Query environment by clearly defining the requirements and prototyping the data.

Develop quality, best practices, functional, and technical frameworks for delivery of analytic projects and guide the team to adhere to standards. Implement agile project management using JIRA. Set up a process tailored to the needs of the Analytics team.

Deploy JIRA Boards (agile boards) and guide PMO meetings. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field.

Skills required: Experience writing optimized SQL query in Hadoop, BigQuery, and Dataproc platforms for data mining, ETL process, and synthesis of large Structured/Unstructured data.

Experience mining, analyzing, and interpreting data through various statistical techniques including univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and correlation. Experience creating data visualization using business intelligence tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Analytics. Experience building classification machine learning algorithms including linear regression, random forest, and XGBoost.

Experience using Advanced Excel for manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data using functions including VLOOKUP, index, match, and Sumifs. Experience creating efficient decks using Microsoft PowerPoint to create appropriate business cases illustrating customer behavior, sales trend, and opportunities to make better decisions within retail media. Experience documenting codes, methodologies, and projects using Github, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Experience developing and presenting strategic, action-oriented oral and written communication to provide recommendations based on complex analytics to an executive audience. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $116,646/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
