Responsibilities

  • You will lead supervisors, engineers, and an IBX site

  • Leads team to work safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance

  • Handles personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development

  • Aids in testing, project management, and resolving incidents.

  • You are responsible for overall site capacity management

  • Project/Infrastructure Management

  • Plans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center

  • Provides input and guidance towards budget

  • Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, KPI's and SLA's

  • Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete

  • Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure

  • Writes all MOP scripts

  • Effectively communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident

  • Assists with root cause analysis and incident resolution

Qualifications

  • Strong electrical and mechanical experience and skillset

  • Experience in leading and developing teams in a mission critical and dynamic environment

  • Able to perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation
