Job Description and Duties

The Claims Processing Center has an immediate opening for a Bill Review Assistant Manager to manage a team in Bill Review Operations. This position may be located in Fresno, Glendale, Pleasanton, Redding, Riverside, Rohnert Park, Santa Ana or Vacaville.

Under direction of the Bill Review Manager this position provides leadership that inspires our brand traits - helpful-conviction-courage -- in overseeing day-to-day team operations. These objectives include but are not limited to developing customer-centric culture that models our North Star brand - doing the right thing for our business partners and State Fund, implementing and maintaining processes, policies and scheduling system that aligns with all workers' compensation laws and regulations, and facilitating interdepartmental collaboration. Opportunities also exist for the management of in-house special projects and for participation as a CPC representative on State Fund project committees.

The CPC seeks a candidate with previous supervisory or team leadership experience who will provide clear direction, delegate issues (not tasks), support open communication, invest time in people development, provide constructive feedback, give credit to the team, and be well versed in the insurance industry.

New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

Working Conditions

Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs, however due to the nature of supervisory positions, some travel will always be required.

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office with expenses for attendance paid by State Fund.
