What you'll do...
Manages the planning and execution of compliance investigations (for example, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Medicare, Medicaid, state dispensing regulations) for Walmart and Sam's Club by conducting investigations; conducting follow up with stakeholders; providing investigation guidance and direction to subject matter experts; analyzing findings of investigation to determine root cause of concern; recommending mitigation strategies and implementing process improvement based on findings of investigations; and implementing necessary corrective action at a local and national level.
Manages the implementation of projects including policies and procedures (for example, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), accreditation processes) by ensuring understanding of legal and regulatory requirements; researching and communicating industry best practices; implementing and updating policies and procedures for continuous improvement; serving as a point of contact for stakeholders (for example, federal, state, and local regulators); communicating standards, expectations, and findings to stakeholders; developing and facilitating health and wellness compliance training; and recommending and implementing program updates based on research and analytics.
Responds to compliance questions and monitors state and federal law and regulations by researching laws, policies, and procedures (for example, state law, Walmart policy) to address compliance questions; drafting and updating policies and standard operating procedures with leadership input; communicating with Health and Wellness teams regarding answers to questions; collaborating with the senior manager to communicate information to field associates; monitoring compliance questions for potential gaps; and recommending and developing strategies for identified compliance gaps.
Identifies, reports, and addresses compliance concerns by identifying trends and concerns; collecting necessary data; creating reports on findings; communicating findings to senior management; recommending resolutions to the concerns; and completing follow up with field and home office based on findings in reports.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
