Looking for a Hands-On IT Infrastructure Automation Manager with strong technical skills across multiple disciplines and excellent communication skills to manage day-to-day infrastructure automation activities. The role requires a combination of technical hands-on experience with managerial focus on team and process development. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in leading architecture, design, development and operations of enterprise scale delivery platforms, products and services in a high performance and high-availability environment. The role also requires a strong focus and understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery concepts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Being a visionary in design and implementation of key infrastructure automation concepts.

  • Develop, implement, and manage the approach to achieving Infrastructure As Code to achieve Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) objectives.

  • Automation of the infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code) is a goal to become more efficient and repeatable, so experience with a scripting language, including the Azure PS/ARM template, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, and the Python languages are all desirable.

  • Experience with common configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef Experience desirable.

  • Advance knowledge with VMware automation technologies.

  • Understanding/experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes or other container orchestration.


  • B.S. or B.A in Computer Science or Information Technology or related area

  • Minimum ten (10) years total relevant experience working in enterprise-class environments.

  • Previous IT management experience required:

  • Ensuring compliance to Company policies, processes, procedures and security requirements within the development life cycle; as well as enforcement within the pipeline as necessary

  • Research and recommend new technologies, enhancements and configuration changes to improve service performance automation and efficiency.

  • Takes responsibility for the documentation and execution of large-scale projects, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.

  • Effectively estimates timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agreed terms of reference.

  • Can clearly articulate complex technical solutions in simple business terms.

  • Depth in understanding of multiple technologies and technical platforms

  • Strong analytical aptitude; quickly understands new technologies and how they work.

VIEW JOBS 2/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-20T00:00 Primary Function As a QA Automation Manager, you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle of development team with particular responsibility in the quality assurance of software development and deployment with emphasis on development and implementation of test automation. You'll be involved in the creation of business requirements inputting the test scripts and test scenarios to ensure developers understand the business requirements so that they can be effectively tested. You will be working closely with developers as they develop code to ensure requirements are being met and to the correct quality, and you will conduct automated (and manual tests where necessary) to ensure the software created is fit for purpose. During testing you will be thinking "outside of the box" to understand the various scenarios and configurations that customers use to ensure customer quality is maintained and through doing so drive regression testing across the products. You will be responsible for defining and driving innovative automated testing strategies and toolsets into our overall development processes that support and enhance the current Quality Assurance processes within Rant & Rave. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Caliburn International is recognized. Essential Functions * Measure and manage the day-to-day priorities for individual QA team members to ensure a high level of quality and productivity * Manage and prioritize QA tasks to support organizational objectives * Produce reports and documentation for all performance testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and tracking * Frequently communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to team members and management * Work as part of cross functional, passionate agile project teams to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery * Designing, developing and supporting frameworks for our test infrastructure and providing automation expertise to our development teams * Contributing toward predictable delivery of quality releases * Research, recommend and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation * Mentor team members on automation * Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them * Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test results * Ensure that all tests are executed and give regular feedback to the team lead on the status of quality * Use appropriate measures and KPIs to validate and report on software quality * Work closely with the software engineering team, Product Management and Technical Operations as well as business users and Senior Management, as required * Be a creative thinker who can quickly identify and test for functional 'edge cases' outside of expected functionality * Have the drive to become an expert in: o Unit testing o UX Testing o UI Testing o Integration testing of APIs o Performance and scalability testing o Security Penetration Testing Job Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in a technical (or related) subject required * Strong background in, and at least 7+ years of working in tooling or QA automation * Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments * Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, TestRail, Test.IM, Cucumber, Concordion, Selenium, Fit/FitNesse, SoapUI * Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes * Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as TDD & BDD * Proficient working with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 Desired Qualifications * Building test infrastructures using containerization technologies such as Docker and working within continuous delivery / continuous release pipeline processes * Testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as Azure * Experience mentoring staff and end users on quality objectives and testing processes * Understanding of coding enterprise applications within Java, PHP, Python and other languages * CTFL, ISTQB, CSQA or CSTE certified * Degree level qualifications in a technical related subject * SaaS experience * Enterprise level project delivery * Experience in mobile, email and telephony services * Proactive 'self-starter' attitude * Lifelong learner - thrives from developing and sharing knowledge * Strong written and oral presentation skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Excellent organization skills * Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously * Strong initiative * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Who We Are About Caliburn International, LLC: We are a leading provider of professional services and solutions to U.S. federal government agencies and commercial clients.
