Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Manager I Facilities role in Indialantic, Florida. Responsible for planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Responsible for the physical maintenance of the building(s).

Job Description:

  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility

  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings; prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition

  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs; inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules

  • Management of vendors to repair, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on all types of facility equipment including, but not limited to, steam heating and steam generation equipment, boilers, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical equipment, HVAC piping, compressed air systems, water and sewer piping, roofing systems, production machines and equipment, facilities equipment, and grounds

  • Plan, coordinate, and allocates office space for the location and develops and recommends long-range plans to meet future office space needs

  • This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Required Skills:

Minimum 6+ years' facility management/maintenance experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience in facilities and schooling in lieu of degree.

  • Experience in managing maintenance contractors (specifically HVAC, Elec, and other trades)

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, diagrams, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and other forms of documentation

  • Experience in facility engineering, space planning, estimating project costs, project management, operations, interior design, architecture and contract administration

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills for using in project management along with the ability to be thorough and accurate

  • Work well in a team in an environment and under high stress situations

  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of project management, AutoCAD, CMMS, CAFM, building design, space planning, Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project will be extremely helpful

  • General knowledge of the building codes, NFPA, and OSHA are a plus

  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast turn environment, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities

Required Education:

Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Construction, Business Administration, Facilities or related disciplineor equivalent combination of experience in facilities and schooling in lieu of degree

Job Details GENERAL SUMMARY: This position exists primarily for the purpose of developing internal store manager bench from the assistant store manager population, although external candidates will also be in the program. It is a position to be used to give store manager candidates more experience prior to becoming a store manager, and is to be held for a specified period. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Assist in recruiting and staffing activities. * Assist with store merchandising by facilitating and/or participating in staging, stocking and storage of merchandise; ensuring that merchandise is presented according to established practices and store manager direction; and properly utilizing merchandise fixtures, signing and pricing of merchandise. * Assist in all aspects of inventory management (including proper execution of damages, markdowns, register scanning, paperwork and facility controls); prepare and conduct inventories. * Follow prescribed ordering practices to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets. * Provide superior customer service leadership. * Act as a role model by following company procedures and policies as outlined in the employee handbook, SOP manual and company communications. * Participate in store opening and closing activities. * Ensure the safe deposit of all company funds in the designated bank. * Assist in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control and adherence to company security practices and cash control procedures. * Assist in the maintenance of clean, well-stocked stores; provide a safe environment for customers and employees. * Manage store in store manager's absence. * Review operating statements to identify business trends (including sales, labor, profitability, and inventory turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors. * Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
