ENSCO is seeking highly motivated, talented individuals to become a part of a diverse engineering and technology team in support of the Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC) Enterprise Launch Office (SMC/ECL). Our Program Manager II candidate will assist the Program Manager in managing a large team of multi-disciplined engineering employees in the execution of customer mission needs for National Security Space Launch. He or she will be responsible for the day to day operations of contract personnel, including managing the people, program security, budget, facilities, staffing and business processes needed to provide customer deliverables and support key customer engagements. Position is located in El Segundo, CA/LAAFB Major duties of the position include:
Implementing, managing, and reviewing all program controls required to meet and exceed performance work statement (PWS) requirements for technical, schedule, cost, and quality performance
Adapting proven and effective management practices to identify impediments and/or mitigate risks to effective program execution.
Conducting technical deep dives in collaboration with the Lead Systems Engineer and the SE&I staff to ensure solutions are integrated and effectively meet customer needs prior to delivery
Coordinating with ENSCO ASE business unit contracts, finance, human resources, security management, and procurement management functions to ensure support systems are meeting program needs
Performing hiring, supervision, and performance assessments as delegated by the ENSCO Senior Executives.
Supporting process improvement and innovation
Provide technical leadership and direction to team members in order to meet customer and program requirements.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and customer representatives in the execution of programs.
Identify opportunities to leverage corporate staff, processes or tools that may provide additional customer value
