  • Develop a district plan to engage community businesses, non-profit organizations and faith-based organizations in support of district goals.

  • Develop and strengthen strong relationships with external partners aimed to enhance student academic achievement.

  • Convene and lead a committee to garner recommendations and feedback on community initiatives.

  • Manage, develop, and implement community engagement initiatives/programs.

  • Collaborate with district departments to discuss priorities and focus areas of the district's community engagement plan.

  • Develop presentations and training modules aimed to increase community engagement with the district and schools.

  • Create innovate strategies to use social media to enhance community engagement.

  • Assist campus principals in creating strong community partnerships with businesses, non-profit organizations and faith-based organizations.

  • Supervise, develop and assist with the implementation of a program evaluation tool to analyze and interpret reports to improve or strengthen community engagement programs and initiatives.

  • Assist in development of grant applications, maintain grant documents, and support with implementation and compliance.

  • Represent the department with organizations to expand resources and introduce new initiatives.

  • Research current studies on community engagement and identify best practices for implementation.

  • Establish clear indicators of success to evaluate effectiveness data of programs and strategies related to community engagement.

  • Maintains appropriate records to include documentation of all coordinated and/or facilitated events and activities related to Title I functions and collects data for Title I.

  • Develop innovative channels of communication with community groups and progress monitor the effectiveness of those channels.

  • Oversee development and administration of budget for assigned projects.

  • Provide technical assistance, development, maintenance and monitoring of all documentation for accuracy in assigned areas of responsibility and ensure completion in a timely manner to meet all deadlines.

  • Supervise, monitor and appraise assigned personnel.

  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

  • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort. reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

  • Five (5) years of directly related experience in the area of community engagement.

  • Experience in project leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of community engagement programs/initiatives.

  • Skills in building partnerships with businesses, non-profit organizations, and other external partners.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong customer-service orientation.

  • Presentation skills with experience in developing presentations using a variety of software programs.

  • Experience with public relations, including planning and implementation of feedback groups.

  • Experience with committee facilitation.
