This role will serve as the primary contact and HR business partner to Commercial leaders and teams in the western region, and will collaborate with HR colleagues located other sites across the business in the delivery of frontline HR support. As a member of several district leadership teams, the HR Manager will work to support/implement company programs as well as develop and implement strategies to hire, motivate, grow, and retain high quality talent, enabling the business to meet its objectives and maintain high levels of performance.

Some of the major responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing guidance and thought partnership to managers and leaders to resolve talent challenges impacting the business (interpreting and applying policies/programs, employee relations, coaching, performance management, development planning,

  • Ensuring the recruitment and onboarding of high quality talent capable of supporting the short and long-term needs of the business in conjunction with managers and the Talent Acquisition team.

  • Conducting succession and talent planning for critical roles and talent segments within the business

  • Helping leaders develop and implement plans which increase employee engagement and drive retention of critical talent

  • Leveraging change management and communication skills to support leaders

  • Leading or supporting HR projects to help improve processes, implement programs, or support the integration of our legacy companies

  • Conducting investigations in response to employee complaints and ensuring

  • Administering HR programs and processes in conjunction with corporate partners (i.e. employee medical leave)


  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related field, with at least 7 years of previous HR generalist work experience and demonstrated career progression over time.

  • HR functional knowledge of disciplines such as total rewards, talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and compliance/investigations required.

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge leaders to help drive high quality management decisions and gain commitment

  • Well developed organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast paced and demanding environment. A high level of responsiveness and sense of urgency is critical.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with and across multiple levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data to identify issues and develop solutions.

  • Previous experience supporting sales organizations and/or in the chemicals or ingredient industry a plus.

  • Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI) a plus

This position is located at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, this position acts as human resources business partner to General Manager(s) of single unit or multiple units. Main Duties and Responsibilities: * Partners with General Manager of operating unit to understand business objectives and identify corresponding human resource needs; implements human resources strategy to support business objectives. * Partners with Operations and other key functions to develop programs that support employee retention. * Helps drive division-wide human resources strategy, programs and processes into units. * Partners with operations and training functions to identify training needs and provide input on training approaches and content. * Partners with operations and recruiting functions to identify and understand workforce needs, may be required to actively participates in recruiting union hourly employees and support recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions. * Serves as the primary employee and labor relations manager to mediate and resolve employee disputes and union grievances for kitchen. * Provides counseling/training for unit management in the areas of labor/employee relations, EEO, affirmative action and discrimination. * Provides policy interpretation and ensures accurate and consistent application of all company policies and procedures, and related local, state and federal laws, and applicable collective bargaining agreement(s). * Receives and responds to employment-related claims from various government or public agencies; recommends settlement or defense based on actual investigation of facts. * Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed. * Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Education: * Must have a bachelor's degree from a four year college or university. Work Experience: * Must have a minimum of five years of experience in progressively responsible human resources roles, with at least two years of experience in Labor Relations and Employee Relations. * Must have at least two years of managing HR staff. * Experience recruiting in transportation, hospitality, manufacturing or food service environment highly desirable.
