Qualifications
The Manager, HR role is a client facing role to the business. The individual in this role will interact directly with internal clients across the organization. As such, the role requires someone capable of delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced, cutting edge business environment. Service excellence is vital to the role. In addition the individual will be working closely with an integrated HR team that works in a highly collaborative fashion. Working in a team setting effectively is essential for success.
Knowledge/Expertise
Bachelor's degree
4-6 years in Human Resource with proficiency in HR administration, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development
Industry backgrounds in advertising, digital companies, media planning and buying, communications, technology, and entertainment/media a plus
Skills/Abilities
Must provide excellent customer service - be super responsive to the team and the client
Business acumen - understand the business needs, learn the business, and understand the strategy and financial position of the company
Must be able to take initiative, work independently, and lead to get things done
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high levels of interpersonal sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and judgment
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to problem solve, be resourceful, and think analytically
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Exhibit proficiency with computer programs such as MS Office, Word, and Excel and to work with HRIS systems and technology in general
Responsibilities
Day-to-day employee relations issues involving a wide spectrum of issues that require functional and technical expertise, policy knowledge, and judgment
Rolling out and implementing the full cycle of performance management for the organization including goal setting, development planning, appraisal, etc.
Implementing a wide variety of mobility initiatives - relocation, rotation, transfer,and promotions that involve creating a highly mobile and constantly learning workforce
Conducting research to identify candidates for positions in the organization, screening candidates, and managing the hiring process
Being part of the team that successfully on boards and integrates new hires into the organization
Support employee lifecycle from new hire through termination; this includes providing recruitment assistance, orientation, interpreting company policies, and conducting exit interviews
Provide employee relations support for all personnel issues (e.g., performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and ensuring federal and state compliance)
Act as a partner to management in driving Omnicom's strategic initiatives in the areas of training, retention, and compensation solutions; assist in identifying training and development needs
Supervise payroll matters and serve as the liaison with the payroll department
Assist the Director of Human Resources in creating and implementing diversity initiatives
Work closely with the entire OMD HR department to develop and uplift plans for an overall benefit to OMD employees
Partner with the Director of HR to manage all immigration matters in conjunction with outside counsel
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $85,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
