GENERAL SUMMARY:

Oversees the housekeeping and linen room services functions for the hospital.# Studies new techniques for improving services; evaluates, selects and provides proper equipment and supplies for efficient and cost effective services; and ensures adherence to established standards of quality and all health and other regulatory agency standards.# Coordinates services with other departments to minimize patient, staff and visitor disruptions.# # PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:#

Staff Management # Directs housekeeping activities of staff which includes sweeping floors, mopping, dusting, cleaning lights and fixtures, resupplying linens in order to ensure Hospital is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times. # Manages and oversees personnel in assigned units to ensure provision of effective, efficient and safe, age appropriate patient care in accordance with established standards. # Oversees the scheduling of assigned unit personnel to ensure adequate coverage with continued provision of quality patient services and business services. # Interviews, hires, orients, trains, and evaluates the performances of and, when necessary, disciplines and/or discharges department personnel.# Provides direction, as necessary, to staff regarding sensitive and/or complex work, related problems, resolves complaints and responds to inquiries regarding department operations. # Functions as back up support during staff shortages.# Responsibilities may include performing housekeeping duties.# # Department Operations Management # Regularly inspects and evaluates physical condition of assigned areas of Hospital to ensure duties are performed in accordance with all applicable governmental and third-party regulations and codes.# Initiates corrective actions as necessary. # Plans, develops and recommends to Director annual unit staffing budget and assists in planning capital equipment and expense budgets.# Administers and monitors expenditures and implements corrective action to resolve budget variances.# Reviews department budget performance through regular audits to identify cost containment, revenue growth opportunities and improve quality. # Researches and contacts vendors when evaluating new equipment and supply purchases.# Performs cost analysis for product and vendor recommendations to Purchasing Department. #Ensures adequate levels of supplies are stocked in inventory and equipment is maintained in proper working condition. Orders supplies and arranges for major equipment repairs as necessary. # Prepares a variety of reports reflecting housekeeping activities such as dollar amount of supplies used, status of equipment, personnel requirements, and productivity.# Creates and implements departmental productivity measures to use in monitoring effectiveness of current work processes. # Collaborates with Director in developing, revising and implementing departmental policies and procedures.# Monitors adherence to same and initiates corrective action as necessary. # Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature and attending related conferences, seminars and the like. # Customer Service # Communicates regularly with Hospital departments in order to coordinate provision of cleaning services and minimize disturbances to patients, staff and visitors.# Participates in various Hospital meetings, councils, committees and nursing meetings representing the Housekeeping function.

Investigates documents and resolves complaints or incidents concerning patients, visitors, physicians and subordinates, informing those of sensitive nature to Director. # Maintains Customer Service Goals and retention levels set by Hospital. # KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: # Required Education and/or Experience: Minimum three years supervisory experience

Preferred Education and/or Experience: Bachelor#s Degree in healthcare, management, or related field Minimum three years healthcare experience # Required License and/or Certification: A valid driver#s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

Using the MOLEX PDP project management methodology the project manager manages the cross functional project teams throughout the project life cycle. What You Will Do In Your Role * Lead and facilitate the cross functional team required to manage the project or customer program to achieve the objectives as prescribed by the project scope * Ensure the successful on-time within budget execution of projects to the satisfaction of the project stakeholders i.e. customers, project sponsors and leadership * Development of the detailed cross functional project coordination plan * Facilitate and manage the archiving of project documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project in the MOLEX PDP repository * Work closely with Business Development and Engineering functions to ensure accurate scope definition and project management plan development * Work closely with the various departments and organizations to ensure efficient and timely project deliverables to customers * Provide work direction and project management oversight to assigned projects including scheduling, assignment of work, and reviews of project efforts to ensure that the project meets the technical and process specifications * Facilitate cross functional teams to establish and achieve project and new product requirements, schedules, priorities, performance and profitability * Continuously conduct risk assessments of strategic, technical, finance and business factors impacting the plan and manage corrective actions to mitigate deviations to the project plan * Compile project status reports regularly in order to identify internal and external factors jeopardizing the project * Escalate issues and recommended solutions using the escalation process * Manage adherence to project scope and ensure that scope creep is avoided.
