ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
Manages a unit of service that contributes collectively to the provision of high quality patient care. Monitors and supports the desired outcomes as established for their specific area of responsibility. Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborates with other area supervisors and directors as required to support the hospital's role as a community health service provider

  • Assists in developing and implementing a unit Quality Management Program consistent with hospital wide Performance Improvement Plan. Using CQI principles, operates the units within the financial and productivity guidelines setting goals and developing policies that support this objective.

  • Provides for quality services by ensuring that the staff are well trained in the services to be provided.

  • Addresses and resolves unit issues, including problem resolution related to customer complaints, concerns and suggestions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of health service administration management experience (within the last five years) in home care or a related health care program.
  • AA degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field or business or three (3) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.

Licensure:

  • Registered Nursing License (RN), or other clinical specialties (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist etc.), licensed in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS); other credentials or credential modules may be required.

Special Skills:

  • Principles and practices of effective management. Budgetary and planning control. Title 22, COP, The Joint Commission knowledge as it pertains to home health electronic documentation.

Responsibilities Position Summary: Responsible for the implementation and management of the Performance Improvement (PI) plan and maintaining compliance with Joint Commission and relevant State and Federal regulations related to quality monitoring and performance improvement. Oversees the day-to-day operations of quality in the department. Principal Duties and Accountabilities: * Provides leadership to the department; hires, supervises, and monitors staff performance and productivity. Contributes to the budgeting process. * Educates and trains staff and physicians in quality improvement including the aggregation and analysis, action planning and reporting of performance data. * Works in collaboration with hospital leadership and medical staff to meet goals established in the Performance Improvement plan. * Provides consultation and assists physicians, ancillary and nursing departments with regulatory compliance issues. Supports implementation of regulatory initiatives.
