This position is primarily responsible for leading the implementation and ongoing management of Otis' U.S. health and welfare plans and wellbeing program. The role provides critical input in determining the design and execution of various programs and will work closely with vendors, as well as the Human Resources Shared Services (myHR), Payroll, HR Technology, Legal and Benefits Finance organizations. This role also supports broader benefits-related projects and initiatives.

Location: Farmington, CT or Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supports aspects of U.S. health & welfare benefits, savings plan administration, and/or other point solutions, as applicable

  • Manages supplier relationships and programs and monitors performance and deliverables.

  • Assists with other benefit-related departmental activities, including the planning and execution of Annual Enrollment, year-end payroll testing and compliance filings

  • Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact for researching, coordinating, and resolving issues and escalations

  • Supports timely filing, year-end payroll testing, and auditing efforts of benefit programs to ensure regulatory compliance, while working with auditors and consultants

  • Partners closely with internal and external resources to develop and direct various benefit campaigns & communication materials

  • Assists in administration of wellbeing initiatives including, but not limited to, on-site biometric screening events, health assessments, flu shots, and wellbeing challenges

  • Develops strong working relationships with internal and external customers

  • Creates standard work and process maps to document key processes

  • Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities

  • Supports various reporting, trend analysis, and HR updates

  • Leads and supports special benefit related projects, as assigned

  • A bachelor's or associate's degree in human resources or a related discipline


  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in benefits or related human resources administration and/or a combination of both


  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and independently manage competing priorities on a daily basis

  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills

  • An understanding of employee benefits delivery supply chain

  • Knowledge of various benefit-related legislation (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA) preferred

  • A solutions-focused approach towards everyday matters

  • A willingness to flex, adapt and succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in the preparation of effective presentations

  • Specialized certification (e.g., CEBS, GBA) preferred

Includes support in the development of sophisticated risk stratification models to properly identify individuals who will best benefit from active clinical case management. * Communicate findings and recommendations for corrective action and improvement opportunities to senior management and other appropriate stakeholders through dashboard reports, meetings, and presentations, as necessary. * Provide support in the analysis of proposed medical management programs to project the cost and savings from such initiatives. * Provide support for incorporating metrics and benchmarks (both internal and external) to proactively identify and evaluate medical/ clinical processes and programs and impacts to cost, utilization, and quality. * Provide support for ad hoc data mining, reporting, and analytic tasks to help various areas of the company achieve departmental or company goals. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Actuarial Science/Mathematics/Finance/Econometrics or a related field. * 4-6 years of healthcare reporting and analysis experience. (R) * Familiarity with 3rd party and open source morbidity measuring tools. (P) * Ability to use raw data to create meaningful reports through working knowledge of relational database principles. (R) * Strong working knowledge of SQL, Proc SQL, SAS. (R) * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. MS Excel analytical tools; pivot tables, lookups, formulas. (R) * Familiarity with visualization/dashboard tools - Tableau. (P) * Ability to connect the dots, cross-reference data for accuracy. (R) * Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret findings graphically or verbally, and with written results for general audiences.
