Description

The Manager, Health & Safety is a key decision maker who applies analytical skills to conduct audits in our Market Centers. The Manager, Health & Safety works closely with our General Managers and other field leaders to respond to questions for direction about injury prevention, liability control, and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs audits of the Market Center locations to identify loss potential and regulatory compliance. Formulates detailed reports of findings, appropriate operating programs, opportunity areas and assessment of how the Market Center is performing against specific safety/liability plans and objectives. Will report these findings to Safety & Loss Prevention (S&LP) Management Team on a regular basis.

  • Responds to day to day technical calls and provides direction to the field in regard to injury prevention, liability control, and regulatory compliance.

  • Provides recommendations and education at the Market Center level on location specific safety and loss prevention elements to improve the overall impact of their safety program.

  • Provides training at the regional level that supports the goals of the Corporate S&LP Management Team.

  • Communicates frequently with District Managers, Production Managers, Maintenance Managers and General Managers on matters associated with safety and loss prevention.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting accident and liability causes and providing viable recommendations for preventing and/or controlling potential losses.

  • Uses common safety and loss prevention tools to achieve position goals such as job safety analysis, root cause analysis, etc.

  • Maintains compliance with a broad group of governmental regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, DOT and State agencies).

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Must be open and willing to travel up to 30%.

EDUCATION:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five to seven years corporate experience in a safety and loss prevention controlled environment.

Description The CORPORATE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER will be instrumental in driving HR solutions and policy compliance that adds value to the organization and are aligned with business objectives. The incumbent will work with management and regional HR partners by providing hands-on support in the areas of employee relations, workplace investigations, HR compliance, project management, and various generalist duties. The position is based out of the Aramark Uniform Services corporate location in Burbank, CA. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and address employee relation matters, including employee complaints, investigating issues and providing coaching to team members and managers. Conducts thorough and objective workplace investigations. * Provide day-to-day support and counsel to management in regards to policy interpretation, HR compliance, and appropriate workplace conduct. * Act as first line resource to managers and field HR partners to assess needs, and develop appropriate plans to strengthen employee morale and drive retention. * Participate in HR related projects and partner with management team as needed. * Assess effectiveness of HR practices and policies. Look for opportunities to improve programs and provide recommendations to increase employee productivity and commitment. * Review and identify employee relations trends and reports for the organization across multiple regions. Advise management and HR partners on trend analysis including options for action planning. * Analyze root causes and identify broader opportunities for long-term success in regards to recurring employee relations issues. * Manage and review ADA/LOA compliance process and accommodation requests. * Ensure compliance and consistency to HR policies and practices, and adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations both as a consultant and oversight for Aramark locations. * Perform other duties as assigned or requested. 123Indeed321 Qualifications * A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field or a combination of equivalent work experience is preferred. * A PHR/SPHR certification preferred. * 5-7 years professional level Human Resources experience is required, including at least three years in a Business Partner capacity * Demonstrated expertise in effective human resources management techniques, plans, and strategies. * Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills required. * Ability to diplomatically and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. * Thorough knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations and general business practices required. * Must be detail-oriented and organized, with excellent follow-through and analytical skills. * Solid written and verbal communication skills required, including the ability to interface with others inside and outside of the company in a positive and professional manner. * Must be able to work independently with the ability to juggle priorities and manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
