Mainframe Systems Programmer:

This position involves the full spectrum of Mainframe System Programming activities, including product installation, customization, deployment, software tools integration, exploitation, and performance analysis activities. Specific product knowledge will be highly desirable.

Desired Skills are:

1.Must have strong working knowledge of 3rd party ISV (Independent Software Vendor). Working knowledge of the following is desirable:

CA1

FDR

VPS printing

Mobius

ESP (Job Scheduling by Broadcom)

Syncsort

File-Aid

McKinney Batch

Switch (VTAM Multi-session)

Good to have: DFHSM

Good to have: DFRMM

2.Knowledge of WLM (Workload management) including monitoring and tuning.

3.Knowledge of HCD and Dynamic I/O

4.Knowledge of SMP/E for installing/maintaining ISV products

5.Knowledge of USS (UNIX System Services) Shell and Utilities.

6.Knowledge of JES2 including NJE/RJE setup.

7.Knowledge of REXX, CLISTS and ISPF dialogs

8.Knowledge of zOS monitoring such as Mainview, etc.

9.Knowledge of CICS DB2 and RACF

10. Knowledge of ASSEMBLER programs and EXITS Is able to work closely with other departments to understand current and future projects to insure the zSeries infrastructure is able to meet the demands of future growth.

11. Must have great communication skills verbal and written.

12. This position requires being on call 24 hours a day.

13. Optional: Having Sysplex experience is a definite plus

(1.) To independently resolve tickets and esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team. (2.) To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management (3.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts and conducting interviewsorparticipation in hiring drives. (4.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases (6.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
