Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Manager GSSC CyberSecurity - 11988 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Roy, Utah supporting the ICBM Sustainment Program.

The Cybersecurity Manager will serve the ICBM Sustainment program by providing program management, cybersecurity engineering, requirements verification, and leading other cybersecurity professionals supporting the program.

This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as cyber engineering. It is expected that the functional management role will comprise 10% to 20% of the candidate's time.

Cybersecurity Manager Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis, design, development, implementation, and security assessments to ensure compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance.

  • Perform assessments of weapon system components and networks to identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy; this is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments.

  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems; this includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits.

  • Document the results of Assessment and Authorization activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M.

  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.

  • Apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Cyber Security implementation.

  • Develop system and policy documentation required for certification evaluation.

  • Applies scientific, engineering, and information assurance principles to deliver trustworthy systems that satisfy stakeholder requirements within their established risk tolerance.

  • Support earned value/cost account expenditures, program performance, and business processes.

Functional Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assessing staffing needs, current as well as projected and working with the respective team leads to address those needs.

  • Responsible for supporting recruitment activities including the creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.

  • Work with program leaders in establishing personal, program, and functional goals as well as performing performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates.

  • Provide their team with career development recommendations, mentoring, coaching and support to ensure a high level of performance.

  • Generate training plans based on the program and their subordinates' needs.

  • Provide their group with regular flow down of company and organizational status and appropriately represent and be a spokesperson for the organization to their group, assigned project, and the company.

  • Set and promote high standards for engineering development.

  • Foster a working environment which reinforces and drives accountability to fundamental Northrop Grumman Values focused on integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.

  • Partner with engineering and program management peers to assure a balanced and efficient assignment of resources to support and achieve key mission priorities.

  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement activities which establish high quality and efficient DevSecOps/Development processes.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 6 years of relevant experience; 4 Years with Masters; or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance.

  • 2+ year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against a schedule.

  • Current DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification (Examples: CAP, CASP, GSLC, CISSP) is required on Day 1, and maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment.

  • 1+ years experience in DoD Risk Management Framework processes.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Current in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

  • Experience in ICBM Programs.

  • Current DOD 8570 IAM Level III Certification (Examples: CISSP, GSLC, CISM).

  • Experience managing a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals across network, compute, storage, database, application, and cybersecurity disciplines.

  • Experience creating detailed plans of execution and schedules for complex projects.

  • Experience with individual contributor performance assessments.

Salary Range: $119,300.00 - $178,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
