Working closely with the Dean and/or Collegiate Designee, assumes responsibility for leading collegiate efforts designed to support institutional enrollment and retention goals for graduate students, collaborating campus-wide to provide personalized attention to students which create intentional, student-centered pathways and programs that manifest a holistic approach to the college experience and empower our students to reach higher levels of personal success. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Hiring Range $50,455 to $53,000 depending upon experience

Description of Key Responsibility

Responsible for the admission and retention of students for all graduate programs. Provides oversight regarding graduate student admission, registration and enrollment activities for the school/college, collaborating with the offices of Graduate Admissions, Student Financial Assistance as well as other internal constituents in an effort to develop and deliver innovative solutions which improve the educational experience of graduate students.

Description of Key Responsibility

Actively participates in the development and implementation of short and long-range marketing plans for graduate programs within a designated school or college. Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with the Office of Marketing and Communication, working collaboratively on associated marketing plans as well as webpages and social media outlets such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to positively position the University of Hartford to external audiences.

Plans, organizes, and attends marketing and recruitment activities and events for the school/college including, but not limited to, open houses, registration, graduate student welcome receptions and orientation events as well as college graduate fairs and commencement. Represents the school/college, both internally and externally, by collaborating with businesses and organizations that benefit graduate students.

Description of Key Responsibility

Evaluates and continually improves the academic services and experiences offered to graduate students within the school/college. Oversees advising and other student support services regarding curriculum, academic standards, records retention, career development and other appropriate non-academic related matters in an effort to meet the needs of prospective and current graduate students. Identifies and provides referral sources for students on non-academic issues as necessary and/or appropriate.

Develops and implements strategies for student focused career-enhancing extracurricular programs.

Oversees the enforcement of academic services and record keeping policies within the school/college. Maintains accurate records and databases regarding confidential student information in compliance with both regulatory guidelines and institutional data integrity standards.

Maintains the graduate policy manual for the school/college. Analyzes and provides graduate student data as requested by collegiate and/or institutional leadership.
