TITLE: Manager, Global Innovation Business Lead-Protein Fortification

LOCATION: Bridgewater, NJ or Westchester, IL

REPORTS TO: Director Global Segment Marketing, Healthful Solutions Protein Fortification

Primary Function:

The Manager, Global Innovation Business Lead, Healthful Solutions, Protein Fortification will be responsible for supporting the segment in driving growth and the development of the Segment portfolio. This role will lead new product innovation and renovation of products, customer co-creations, strategic partnerships or launching new value propositions. This individual will work closely with the Innovation team, Sales Team, Marketing teams to help Protein Fortification meet its growth objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Business Lead for new product launches, working closely with the Innovation team to take from concept to commercial launch.

  • Identify customer needs/pain points and translate into compelling value proposition for the product portfolio, that can lead to innovation or renovation.

  • Guides new product development or product improvements.

  • Stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams, by collaborating closely with innovation, engineering, marketing, finance.

  • Develop pricing and positioning strategies to position the product effectively in market.

  • Create compelling business cases for new product launches

  • Develop value propositions based on insights and work with all relevant functions for the Sales teams to roll out to customers and enable new sales.

  • Contribute to the annual Segment Growth Plan and support the execution to deliver on the segment growth.

  • Stewardship of Innovation Pipeline and portfolio.

  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the market and the competitive environment to facilitate business development efforts. Proactively provide market and competitive intelligence to appropriate sales, marketing, product management and technical team members.

  • Align product goals with overarching business goals and develop and monitor key metrics to gage success.

  • Assist sales team in evaluating customer co-creation opportunities, including timeline to execution.

  • Explore new business models and revenue opportunities globally.

  • Act as point of contact with a region outside of USCA for commercial needs

  • Manage external partnership relationships (strategy)

Qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelors' Degree with an MBA or graduate degree preferred.

  • Significant direct and practical experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing and food and proteins is preferred

  • Available to travel domestically, on an as needed basis

  • Ability to take risks to achieve desired results.

  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively create new solutions and operate with a sense of urgency.

  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into tangible business plans and actions.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in creation and execution

  • Demonstrated ability to manage network/matrix organizations to achieve business objectives.

  • Ability to lead, inspire and communicate with confidence to senior levels of management.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required. Experience in problem solving and creative thinking.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures - both internal and external.
