BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Customs - Brokerage software with the ability to quickly learn new applications.

DESCRIPTION

The Customs Brokerage is responsible for providing a superior internal client service experience and creating a team environment. Not only a new position, but a new team. As such the Manager is a technically competent, hands-on driver of process change and improvement. The Manager is responsible for communicating all changes within the Customers Operating procedures, while ensuring that INLT is compliant in activities related to Entries with Amazon as the IOR. It is critical this position builds strong client relationships as a proactive business partner resulting in his/her being a solution provider embedded in the client's long term growth plan who anticipates client needsembedded in the client's long term growth plan who anticipates client needs.

Key job responsibilities

Create and structure a new team for Internal Amazon Customers.

Prepare, analyze, and report on monthly productivity and put measures in place to ensure KPI's are met by establishing specific audit criteria and measurement.

Liaise with significant business partners including Customs Border Protection, customs brokers, US business partners, carriers, and trade associations.

Review and approve standardized work instructions for all scopes of work.

Work with other regions to develop consistent processes and gain company-wide efficiencies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Customs Broker

  • Prior Experience Leading a Customs Brokerage Team or prior experience Managing Customs Brokerage or Import Operations.

  • Project Management Experience

  • Change Management Experience
