Position: Manager Financial Reporting & Accounting 18 month contract ++Job ID: 16480907Industry Sector: Public (Hospital, Municipal, Education, Healthcare)Compensation: $115,000-$125,000 plus excellent benefits and pension planLocation: York hybrid ON-SITE 4 days a week and full time hoursOur client – a  world class health center, is seeking Manager Financial Reporting to cover an extended maternity leave for 18+ months.  This is a dream opportunity to get your foot in the door with the world’s largest hospital network and set yourself up for continued growth!Reporting to the Finance Director, the Manager Financial Reporting & Accounting is responsible for the oversight of the Centre accounting functions including AP, AR, general accounting, monthly reporting, audit preparation and other legislative corporate reporting.Responsibilities include:

• Manage a team of 2 with up to 4 indirect reports: recruit, train, schedule, and coach accounting team, enforce policies.
• Establish financial policies: ensure compliance
• Ensure timely remittances: HST, payroll, charitable returns, and government requirements.
• Prepare for audits: lead year-end financial statement audit and draft audited statements.
• Produce internal financial reports: monthly, quarterly, and year-end performance reports.
• Supervise accounting operations: oversee reconciliations, AP, AR, Financial Analysis, ERP system, and closing processes.

About you:

• University degree, Accountant (CPA) – (formerly CA) required 
• Minimum 3 years mentorship and supervisory experience
• The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of MOH reporting and the OHRS
• Ability to facilitate and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage a multitude of tasks effectively
• Advanced computer skills MS Office (Excel, Word etc), accounting software, business intelligence and other reporting tools
• Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal abilities
