Job Description

  • Serves as point of contact as well as mentor for resolving Financial Planning and Accounting operational issues.

  • Provides day-to-day leadership to team members including proactive guidance, troubleshooting support, issue escalation and support.

  • Conducts studies and develops solutions for improving the processes.

  • Identify training needs, organize relevant training and refresher sessions for the team.

  • Ensures training and developmental plan preparation for all the team members are well planned and executed.

  • Supports recruitment, staffing, training and on-boarding processes as appropriate. Assists with performance management processes (e.g., goal setting, performance evaluation, etc.).

  • Completes performance evaluation for assigned staff.

  • Identifies and mitigates any risks/issues that are foreseen as potential bottlenecks to the process.

  • Bachelors' Degree or equivalent experience.

Support strategy definition and implementation, developing and evaluating longer term strategies, operational targets and investment plans. * Proactively identify and analyze business issues and opportunities, including recommendations for future actions. Initiate, lead, and manage projects which will improve current business results and deliver against strategy. Communicate risk and opportunities against delivery of plan and evaluate corrective actions via S&OP+ process. * Ensure robust financial evaluation of all major decisions such as spending plans, pricing, capital investment and item range optimization. * Develop Annual Operating Financial Plan and work with the G&M team in putting together activities and plans to ensure the delivery of annual objectives. * Develop and deliver period, quarterly and full  business reviews for G&M that provide transparency and monitor delivery of all KBP’s and initiate steps to ensure corrective steps taken where required. * Analyze competitive landscape and develop relevant benchmarks and work with CMI/SI to incorporate trends and competitive activities into business plans   Key Skills Required: * Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement change  * Strong management and interpersonal skills.  Must be able to convince, influence, and motivate all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives.  * Must have a high degree of self-direction with the ability to constantly seek innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner. * Must be proactive, high energy, detailed-oriented when appropriate, results-oriented, and willing to drive change. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.   Education and Work Experience: * University Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field * 6 to 8+ years for larger business  * MBA preferred or equivalent experience * Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities FP&A Experience * Experience with MS Office, SAP     #LI-KW1     Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
