Element Fleet Management is seeking a Manager, Finance Operations to join our team. The Manager, Finance Operations is a strong, dynamic team member who will mentor and help develop and guide team members, providing oversight and signoff on all validations related to weekly, monthly, and month end reporting to ensure that all audits and validation are complete prior to sending to customers. This role will lead the development and implementation of billing solutions for pilot projects related to client NPI and with future scaling in mind.

A Day in the Life
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Works with director to help create strategy and goals for the team
Deliver strong service and performance to our customers, while being clear on department policies & procedures
Partner with director to develop and structure processes to deliver solutions in a repeatable manner
Ensures performance objectives are aligned with the goals of the organization
Help build and maintain a team environment, encouraging flexible thinking and modeling behavior that fosters Element's values and culture.
Create a culture of continuous improvement.
Leverage six sigma methodologies to make processes more efficient in delivering customer needs
Help the team leverage technology, process improvement, workflow, and team development to increase the capacity and scalability
Perform team building through leadership and by example
Identify opportunities to automate non-value-added or repetitive tasks.
Directs daily workflow and inquiries from customers, employees and business partners related to bill charges.
Manage metrics to meet or exceed targets.
Serve as escalation point for business unit's customer issues and complaints.
Assist team members with complex issues by providing guidance and navigation towards tools and methods that will bring closure to the issue
Contribute to the accuracy and simplification of our billing processes thus maintaining customer satisfaction.
Ensure all Control metrics monitored and met. Manage SOC Control process for Armada Billing Team.
Develop and monitor KPI's for the customer, which has a direct impact on responsiveness, quality of services, and the client experience. Not achieving these KPI's results in missing service level agreements which could result in financial penalties or client retention issues.
Analysis/Reporting - continual review of performance to identify roadblocks and issues along with mitigating them go forward.
Solve complex escalated issues including service delivery complaints and conduct root cause analysis and set strategies to resolve permanently.

Mentor other team members, lead CI efforts, own SOC control compliance, oversight of bill validation models
Key Performance Indicators and Optimization
Own, improve, execute, and enhance reliable financial, billing, and operational models that can be updated efficiently to assess performance and drive outcomes
Provide significant support to our monthly billing and audit processes
Develop presentations for client and internal stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of measures, reporting, billing, and controls
Build quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy of the data originating from all sources
Perform root cause analysis when performance standards are not met and work with team to implement remediation and clear roadblocks
Utilize various process improvement and analytical tools
Provide monthly status/metrics reporting to key internal stake holders
Reporting
Provide leadership related to customer requests for specific reporting
Catalogue customer requested reports along with a schedule to understand timing requirements across all reports
Work to automate reports that are needed often
Partner with internal team and cross-functional process owners to ensure billing files and data are received and processed as appropriate
Resolve customer issues related to billing, ensure charges on the bill are accurate, own Billing weekend along with all validations
Projects and Initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analysis, or a related field of study
Five years of experience in a fast-paced business environment
Experience in a finance, business operations or audit role at a high-growth company, ecommerce or startup is a plus
MS Office proficiency: Excel power user, Power Query, Alteryx, Outlook, Power Point, knowledge of MS Access will be a plus
Experience with data analysis tools, SQL, Power Query, Alteryx, and Power BI; in its absence, eagerness to learn is a must.
Extensive experience creating models, extracting, and combining multiple sources of data
Ability to partner on the development and management of results- oriented recruiting and training programs
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; trong customer focus
Accuracy, precision, and strict attention to detail
Customer focused and results oriented, passionate about creating a best-in-class service and a best-in-class company.
Willingness to delegate duties where appropriate
