American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. The Digital Experience & Products team is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team leading digital innovation at American Express. We are responsible for deepening Client and Card Member engagement through our digital B2B products. The team's mission is to dramatically increase adoption and frequency of usage through a combination of in-depth insights, superior user experience and compelling features and functionality.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager or Product Owner ready to take the lead in delivering capabilities which protect our customers assets and enable delightful experiences. This role will contribute to product vision and strategic plans to launch digital features as part of the Digital Servicing and Platforms Team. One of the key projects this individual will be focused on will be Project Oculus, which is focused on the preparation and migration of US Corporate assets from TRS to AENB that would allow AXP to access a lower cost of funding in AENB while diversifying the asset base through higher quality corporate assets.

Extraordinary candidates will be able to quickly understand business processes, create flows, then design and deliver valuable features for customers by working with partners and other product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a capability, application, or segment of the customer lifecycle

  • Plan and create a product backlog, continuously prioritize user stories

  • Deliver high-quality, functional capabilities with the help of a cross-functional agile team

  • Efficiently lead projects independently including, but not limited to, building consensus while also identifying risks and removing roadblocks

  • Partner with teams across the global enterprise to improve American Express capabilities and accelerate delivery

  • Collaborate with external and internal partners to define functionality, document capabilities, business rules, use cases, and process flows

  • Own recurring status reporting activities for a leadership and senior leadership audience

  • Lead communication and collaboration with partnership groups

  • Work in an agile environment with the skills to break down sophisticated work requirements into right sized features consumable by an agile scrum team

  • Highly organized - familiarity with project management techniques, frameworks, and tools

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners to drive collaboration and alignment

  • Technical proficiency - ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technology and business teams

  • Agile Product Development proficiency - ability to prioritize and translate clients' and business needs into features and user stories

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of related experience in Product Development or Product Management

  • Ability to positively challenge the status quo, identify improvements and clearly communicate vision and recommendations

  • Experience with software product development and Agile methodologies

  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer processes preferred

  • Skills to design innovative solutions from scratch

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
