As the Manager of Finance & Control, you will work on a highly visible, flexible, and collaborative team in a fast-paced semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment. The Manager of Finance & Control will directly partner with a Director of one of ASM's Key Product Units (KPU). In so doing, the Manager of Finance & Control will help to resolve complex business challenges, establish business metrics, and provide insights into future business endeavors. The ideal candidate is a creative, hard-working problem-solver. This individual acts quickly and is comfortable in a hands-on role. This person is not afraid of change and is motivated to develop new approaches and solutions. This position requires a solution-oriented candidate with a combination of confidence, business acumen, knowledge of financial and accounting best practices, and advanced business partnering skills. The candidate must have the ability and flexibility to work globally with diverse stakeholder groups around the globe to solve business problems and provide data-driven solutions that are organized and simple to understand. A strong track record of effective business partnership and communication skills are a must. This position will report to the Director of Business Control.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will require the application of business and financial acumen to support the Director Business Control and various levels of operational and financial decision makers with data, analysis, metrics, business process creation/improvement, and operating model alignment.

  • Business Partnering within Operations and Finance that builds professional relationships based on trust, respect, and achievement of results.

  • Develop financial projections for Profit & Loss supporting the business unit leadership team with forecasted and actual spending through weekly, monthly, & quarterly reporting and reviews.

  • Analyze business expenses and understanding R&D spending trends versus forecast/estimates.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial results and forecasts for the company's financial operations, external reporting, and monthly operations reviews.

  • Budgeting/Forecasting/Estimating/Actuals: Quarterly/Annual budget preparation. Monthly financial forecasting and variance analysis to actual results.

  • Ad-hoc analysis and designing/executing solutions to automate ongoing activities such as data mining, financial modelling, and OpEx forecasting.

  • Communication & Coordination: Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Preparing financial forecasts and budgets on tight timelines.

  • Proven ability to partner with and influence senior levels of management.

  • Capable of successfully leading teams and projects.

  • Collaborating with marketing, manufacturing, & operations to improve financial results.

  • Thorough knowledge and experience applying accounting principles and best practices.

  • Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations to management.

  • Previous experience with fully integrated SAP, ERP systems.

  • Experience working in a global organization.

EDUCATION

  • BS/MS Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • 5 - 10 years of related work experience. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or similar high technology manufacturing environment is desirable.
